That’s literally the case, 15 hours after the original post and 4 hours after the response. Mods can’t even use quote marks appropriately on the ban message, to be banned for something he didn’t even say lol. | ||

Sure, it's kind of a meaningless snarky post but that's half the thread at some points, although xDaunt is definitely overrepresented in the snarkiness category (Kwark is even worse). If it's a cumulative ban because of snarkiness you can also just say that instead of this ban reason that doesn't really say anything at all. | ||

To be very clear, here is the chain of events: 1. Biff says xDaunt will defend Trump even if he is caught on video raping a 7-yo. 2. xDaunt quotes iyMoon and *agrees* with the post he quotes, and calls a general group of posters who agree with Biff "chaff" (he doesn't even say which posters, although from context it's clearly Biff and Velr). 3. xDaunt gets banned for this. ?! I know xDaunt is on a short leash for past infractions in the thread, but this is just some really bad moderation. Either you let both things slide, and let shitslinging happen in the thread, or you enforce the rules, and Biff gets a timeout. Actioning xDaunt's rather tame response is just bizar in either case. | ||

I sure hope this won’t end up being another one of those “it’s not just the one thing, it’s a history of bad behavior” excuses where one questionable ban leads to another, and on the flip side others who inexplicably avoided bans for highly objectionable behavior avoid another one because they don’t have a “history.” That self-referential justification is far too prevalent, it seems. | ||

Slander is only defined as such if it is not true. If you can't (or don't want to) deny it, then it is more probably true than not. | ||
