At first he was given the benefit of the doubt, as he might simply have be mistaken, but when he types that we are all missing the point repeatedly, it appears that he is just fine with the intention. A pet "conservative" indeed. Perhaps the mods are more intelligent than you and understand that I'm not defending or advocating anything.

I want three answers, all of which are true and terrifying to know.

well, I can't speak for the mods; my guess would be: xdaunt is a skilled lawyer, and is thus good at putting up a pretense. it's hard to get definitive proof; you can get a lot of circumstantial evidence, but he doesn't make the kind of mistake that's sufficiently overt as to be an easy ban. the nature of modding is that it's less about reading the entire the entire thread to carefully tease out a complex case like that; it much prefers being able to focus on a single post with an apparent and specific problem. a complex case that depends upon viewing many posts to see is hard to establish; and it's hard to be able to show to a superior (or the public, not that that matters so much) why it was the right choice. i.e. xdaunt is very good at exploiting the grey areas or toeing the line without crossing it.

A pet "conservative" indeed. To be fair, I brought it up and I challenged him on it. He is not out there advocating we talking about the 16 points or 14 words. He responded, which more than I can say for some other folks on this site.

There’s no pretense or hidden agenda to my posting. It is quite direct. The only rules that I bend are those concerning civility.

It’s pretty obvious the only people who don’t get a substantive answer are agenda-driven like previously dangermousecatdog (he’s “allowed to defend neo-nazi slogans”//not even close) and gorsameth (even quoting 14 words in a post is sufficient for white supremacy//rofl). They’re just cheap attack lines, barely questions, and incredibly embarrassing to the speaker if you ask me.
