Him: "I'm going to make a shitty topic in the general forum asking "Am I stupid to be offended by the warning caused by me making shitty posts?"".
TL: "Don't make shitty topics and yes, you are".
Him: "I see this as being the fault of someone other than me and now I'm really offended".
TL: "See previous response".

To be honest I think you've rather gone about this the wrong way.
In regards to posting "first" that falls under Commandment #3
specifically: Finally, do not post for the sake of posting. While it is sometimes acceptable to support another person's view point, doing so by adding "+1", or quoting while adding nothing at all, is not an appropriate post.
You'll note that the commandments are comprehensive, but not exhaustive and 'first' clearly falls under posting for the sake of posting. The fact that you feel the need the argue the point tells me you didn't really spend much time lurking to get the feel for how TL operates.
And to me that's largely the problem that you're running into here. TL has a much higher standard for posting content and it is far better to cautiously figure out how a forum's culture works rather than stomping around, appealing to
Hammurabi Code for justice, and the like.

I kinda skipped through the image because I thought op would just be overreacting to something Kwark did and would be blowing it out of proportion. But now that I've gone back and reread that message, it really is pretty bad imo. To send something like that to the op who, only for the reason of putting "first" in his post got that message is pretty harsh. Had he posted without the "first", he likely would not have been warned. But he didn't just say "first", he also put in his thoughts on the matter (in few words though). Other people, including myself, only wish to write maybe a single sentence or two to express ourselves without feeling the need to write out a whole paragraph.
I'm not sure if FakeSteve is telling the truth, but if that is the actual stock message, change it. That's terrible.
In this matter though, op should not have been so harshly warned. But also op should not have retaliated in such a vicious matter by insulting and generalizing the mods in this thread. Like Gene said, op has a point, but his senseless arguing is clouding everyone's judgement and shifting their favorable views toward the mods.

To clarify, the stock message was not sent by me and my involvement only began when he decided he needed to make a general forum topic to ask if he was stupid.

Though I'm not familiar to your modding methods KwarK (people say you're mean lol), I suppose you could have worded your response a bit less offensively. I think that's the way you regularly mod though so w/e.
I will say that op should not have made that topic in general if he was so offended by the stock message (which is bad/offensive). Should have made it in website feedback complaining about the stock message. So I think your actions are pretty justified. Then op threw a fit and started insulting mods and people in this thread, which was even worse.
The only thing I think op has a point about is the stock message. It would have been clearer about that from the beginning if he didn't start shitting on everyone who disagreed with him.

I think a better warning message might be in order. I panic enough already when I get a new PM, my heart rate goes up by about 20(I tracked it). That's enough punishment without the all caps tirade.

The context in which the warning was made was such that we were trying to curb a rise in memes and shitposting on ttl. In that context, the message makes sense because we really really don't want to have people posting 'first' - ever. Maybe the message is outdated now, there was a brief discussion yesterday about it and overhauling our stock warning messages and we'll see what happens with that.
