just fyi i think this is US only
If its not US only, I'll most probably come from montreal.
signed up :O long way away though im assuming its us server only
its funny when tournaments dont specify server cuz they assume any can play anyone even if they're on different continents, i mean, come on, its 2010.
nope, not in BNET 2.0!

HuK, KawaiiRice, and qxc all involved, nice prize pool, should be epic!
Is it just me or is Starcraft 2 not listed? I see SSF4, CS, HoN, Bad company, MW2.
ya I think they took it off... kinda makes sense. It's impossible to make rules and instructions on how to play when the game isn't even out yet and no one knows how the final product will function
... ? ? ? ? ? ? what happened

Was going to make a new post about this, but then I remembered that I heard about this tournament from TL, so it had to be around here somewhere... hah.
Anyways, I had previously signed up for this tournament which was open to NA players only and was browsing around while bored at work and I noticed that Newegg has removed the SC2 tournament from their summer Wanfest page. Looks like it was taken out at the beginning of the month. I checked their forums and the following was posted:
06/06/10 at 09:04 PM #80 lectR The Starcraft II tournament is currently pending until we finalize a licensing agreement with Blizzard. Please hold tight as we'll be posting updates on the matter as soon as possible.
Just an FYI to anyone that has signed up for it. Newegg didn't send any notification out, I just noticed this by chance. Every trace is gone from the website and some of the other tournaments are set to start in a few weeks. Obviously SC2 wouldn't have started until after launch.
A "licensing agreement" can mean different things obviously, but is this an indication of what we can expect in the future for all "major" gaming tournaments? Arrange a licensing agreement with Blizzard or no tournament? With all the uproar over LAN support and KESPA, I'm just wondering if this is Blizzard saying "Hey wait a minute... if you want to make money off a tournament that's using our software then you're going to have to agree to a few things first (ie. pay for this and that)...". What do you guys think?
