It is important to have a sitter but even then it could be very unpleasant. I've heard people report that their high was amazing and positive, but it seems like there are just as many who have horrible trips. I've heard numerous people say that it was the worst experience of their life. I think it's an altogether risky thing to do, especially if you're going to use one of the higher potency extracts. Sitters aren't there to make your trip pleasant or unpleasant, they're there to make sure you don't break anything or hurt yourself. Of course that's what they are for. I never said anything to the contrary. I was merely pointing out that there are other dangers to be considered.

Nice read. Should post it up on erowid too.

Subconcious mindslip?

I was awed and scared of this blog entry. But I doubt that i would have the balls to try out such substance. :/

Learn how to smoke before you waste the precious ska pastora There's no such thing as people being "immune" to salvia.
As for the OP, nice you enjoyed your trip! I had pretty crazy ones too, involving super intelligent beings made of straws. Oh where they wise!

Make sure you use a hot flame when smoking salvia. A butane torch ligther is ideal. (This is probably why you felt "immune")

Those sound like some beautiful trips! Its interesting how different people's imaginations tell them stories. I basically got the same message as you from it through the cracked logic of being a table and a coloured wall with many divisions listening to humming things that called themselves badongadongs....the message that reality seems very very, random.
I don't see any reason why if memories were coming back to you as vivid as reality why they shouldn't be just as if they had actually happened? I mean i know that memories are not completely accurate but they are usually pretty close.
Also its sort of interesting for someone who believes in a subconscious to note how you called your girlfriend a guy a couple of times and also met her as the blue teletubbie...jus sayin

^LOL BADONGANDONGS!
...guys i just realised something... we need to persuade day9 to smoke some of this so he can share his trips before his casts... oh man that would be awesome :|
|
I can't even imagine the emotions of astonishment he would tell his stories with. Day 9 is the best dude on earth.
|
if day9 even just had some weed, that would make the cast 100x more hilarious, and seeing as its already so fucking good, that would probably kill anyone who watched it with sheer awesomeness
alas, day9 will not do any drugs :c

Subconcious mindslip? That and the fact that he imagined the blue Teletubby as his ex-girlfriend.
Gay suspicion building...

Wat I don't believe it. Day[9] looks so high for all of his casts. I just assumed he kept a bong right off camera or something.

It is easy to reproduce this kind of phenomena without any use of plant, drugs or anything else. If you just start meditating or learning to lucid dream you'll have these experiences. Obviously you need to make an effort in order to obtain something.
I am awestruck by how many dismiss these experiences as nothing more than imagination. Until you experience them for yourself you're a believer or a disbeliever. The impact of the experience is so profound that you are and feel enlightened. I'm sure that if you were somehow stuck in a dream (like in a coma) you wouldn't be able to tell the difference from the real world. In dream time you can experience the same response as in physical world - you can smell, touch, breath, hear and see as well. Then how can you tell the difference?
You judge the experience only because when you're here you relate you're experience with the physical one. If you're in dream time try to relate you're experience from the physical within the dream. Obviously it is much more difficult because you will be able to do this once you become conscious in dreaming.
Just like if you wanted to reach B rank on iccup you need to train a lot that's why if you want to become an active participant in this awesome experience aforementioned you need to train. Open minded skepticism is key element here. Skepticism alone will drag you down. Be open minded and you'll see a whole new world opening before your eyes.

Yes but it goes back to what I said about judging the experience only when you are here in the physical. Try to ask yourself these questions in your dream and see what you come up with. And that's is if you can have enough lucidity to ask yourself these questions.

hey sir its not salvia, u just acquired brain cancer

When you're tripping on Salvia (enough to cause hallucinations, not just altered perceptions), you won't be self-aware at all. It honestly hits you like a train and puts you out for a good half hour or so, I'm just amazed that the memories are somehow preserved when you become lucid.

Yes because the impact of salvia is like extracting your teeth without anesthetic . It slams you in the face with the greater reality. You don't have much control. But I was saying the above in the context of learning to meditate or lucid dream in a slow process which is a lot different than what you've experienced. You can stop at any time if you feel frightened which is not the case when you're taking these kind of hallucinogenic plants. In your case the experience is so powerful that your mind can still remember a great part of what happened.
That's why the shaman was needed in older times. He was there to prepare the ones who were taking plants to know beforehand some things about what was about to be experienced. It was a process and not all we're ready to take the test. The shaman had the knowledge and discernment to see if the student was able to handle the experience. Nowadays we don't have someone to tell us what to do .
I would recommend you to read Terrence Mckenna who experimented with different hallucinogenic plants. Also you can take a look at the research on DMT.

Thank you so much for sharing. I enjoyed every word, especially when the Teletubbies came into play. So did you have sex with the Teletubby in your ex-girlfriend's voice, or did the Teletubby turn into her? If the former, what are the mechanics of Teletubby sex?
