At the same time: If you use a firewall like comodo you might want to turn it off while you use the program, cause it can ask for privileges for the program, while it is scanning data. I do stay in SC2 while it happens, it only takes like 5 seconds, then the beep happens, and there isn't a firewall on my PC, what i don't get is why it worked earlier fine, and then i try it again and it doesn't work.

Technically speaking you don't need to stay in SC2 while it is running, and the program is completely done with it after the completion/error beep so you don't need to keep looking at the ladder page (though if you change before the beep it will very likely think the data is corrupted and abort). It also doesn't send the data until after the scan is completed, and the parsed data will remain in memory until the network connection to my server is terminated. I'm working as fast as I can to increase the success rate of the scanning, but until then my only suggestion is to try at different times. what i don't get is why it worked earlier fine, and then i try it again and it doesn't work. The ladder info jumps around all over in memory and sometimes it is hard to find, sometimes it will find it and sometimes it wont. There isn't a good reason for that, but when the only info I have to go on is raw binary memory dumps it takes some time

This is easy to fix (I think), just need a bit. On April 20 2010 06:56 Silent`Assassin wrote: Yeah something is buggy now. Looks like a lot of platinum divisions got switched to Gold for some reason. Ugh, don't know why this is happening Reverted to earlier data for now.

I am also adding a background mode so that it will optionally just automatically scan ladder pages whenever you view them without having to press a button (it might cause lag for single/dual core systems so its only an option). In the future it may have some extra features as well like showing you your global rank in a window or show your opponents stats when you join a game etc. Some will depend on where I think Blizzard wants to draw the line between hacks and not hacks of course. As far as an update on progress goes, I've been busy working on some school projects for my last week of school (ever!) so I haven't had much time for it, but hopefully I'll have it back up and running for the latest patch by the end of the week.

There are over 100 divisions for each league (and multiple servers!). It looks like this method of updating is about reaching its limit :/ Looking into other ways, but it's a pain in the ass Ladder reader v3 is up also. It's basically the same, just modified for this patch + some extra error messages when things don't work. I had been testing a background mode that would just continually scan for ladder divisions, but I just couldn't get it reliable enough to turn on for this release :/

I think that's what most people want to see.

EDIT: Hmmm, why does it store like 4 players from some divisions and 64 from another when I upload divisionstats ?
