imo Kal was sloppy... he saw the early pool, ofc something not usual is going to happen, you need to send scout units non stop til you see hydras or not... agree?
Jaedong opened overpool w/o gas, which is THE standard opening in PvZ. 12hatch is the next most standard opening. 9pool speed is the aggressive, scout-denial opening that strongly indicates cheese.

if you keep them even just in front of your base they can still read movements and from the defensive posture of your lings/drone/count ect.
And if kal was allowed to say close, he would have 100% read that and made jd's build look stupid.
