2gate, imo, is more effective in pressuring the zerg, while 1gate allows the zerg to freely do whatever they want and take control of the game. also remember that getting tech "early" and "late" is only relative to your opponent; a sair rush at the 50 minute mark would work just fine if the zerg just started getting gas at that time. What I'm trying to say is that 2gate doesn't necessarily make your tech slower if it pressures the zerg to make more lings/sunks instead of drones and tech. | ||

Indeed, same as zerg btw, if I see a p hardcore rushing with zeals, I only have to build mass ling first, and I can tech later. | ||

some toss feign a zeal rush with an earlier gate and then power/tech hard and still manage to throw off the zerg a bit. | ||
