Before we got in line I met up with LosingID8 and Day[9], LosingID needed to put some stuff in my car and I was happy to oblige. We headed back to the convention center to get in the massive line to Blizzcon. After standing there for about an hour we finally got in (we were at the end of the line) and headed straight for the StarCraft 2 gameplay section.
I will work on a specific blog about gameplay but let me tell you this, all you haters are crazy StarCraft 2 is a fucking awesome game. After we played a couple rounds of SC2 we went outside to smoke a ciggarette where I ran into Dustin Browder and Samwise Didier, I yelled "DUSTIN SAY NO TO MBS" but in a joking way. He came over and talked to me for a minute about what I thought of the game, I honestly told him that I didnt care about MBS at this point, the game has problems but MBS isnt a major one.
After that we went inside to watch the first StarCraft matches of Blizzcon, there was a small bank of computers next to the RTS stage where all the pro gamers were playing. I found a bunch of the TL guys there, Plexa, SemiOldguy, LosingID8, Tasteless, Rekrul, Elky and Chill all came to watch the progamers. We all stood behind them for as long as they played pretty much, I watch Idra 2-0 Yellow from Yellows FPview. Depressing.
After the StarCraft matches ended we headed back to the StarCraft 2 area. On the way we ran into a couple of people you might know. Jarret Cale and Geoff Lepaire a.k.a. Jeremy and Kyle from Pure Pwnage were sitting at the RTS stage to watch StarCraft, we totally acted like little fan girls telling them how much we loved their show and Jeremy LIKED MY SHIRT! WOOT!
We played SC2 for about 4-5 hours straight, only taking breaks for nicotine and food. The lines were really short compared to Diablo 3 and WoW, most of the people attending Blizzcon are WoW nerds and they don't like StarCraft. I went back over to the Pro Gamer area to watch some of them play, I watched Cloud play Savior, Yellow vs NaDa, and Idra vs Xellos. Unfortunately Idra lost to Xellos after going 2-0 against Yellow, but he played a pretty good game.
Finally there was more SC on the big screen, Savior was taking on Jangbi. We were a little late so we got there at the beginning of the second game, Savior was up 1-0. He rushed with some zerglings and managed to get them by, but only2. It seems he didnt need any more than that though as he stalled Jangbis eco so bad that the game practically over, after a couple failed nat breaks he finally ended the game. MA JAE YOON IS IN THE FINALS!
We went back to the SC2 section and played for a couple more hours and waited in line for 45 minutes to check out Diablo 3. D3 was kinda disappointing as I am not really a big fan of the whole one handed gaming thing, but the graphics look very nice. After that we decided to leave a bit early to go back to the hotel and shower before the TL dinner.
After LosingID8, myself and Laced were ready to head out to dinner we called SemiOldGuy and got the directions. It wasnt too hard to find since we just had to head south on I-5 for a little bit. The TL Dinner was a blast, I sat with LosingID8, SOG, and Plexa, me and SOG split a couple pitchers and the night went on. The food was good and the beer even better, we all sat and talked about how shitty FBH is or Nal_Ras gosu left right look. Overall it was a fun night, but it was far from over.
Afterward we went over to Plexas hotel to watch MSL, I won 10 bucks off his ass on Bisu>backho, but immediately lost it when I took SOG for 5 against FBH and Plexa for 10 against FBH. Overall I only came out 5 bucks short for the day, not bad. I drank quite a few Vodka and Cranberrys to top my beer off, by the time we left I was drunk as shit. The hotel was a short distance away and I slept like a damn baby.
End Day 1
