Could you please also credit Diggity in the LP? He was there casting as well. I believe he was the main caster of this event even? (I didn't watch live and only scrolled through the VODs I posted). Also Jaeyun did a post-LAN stream on his Twitch sharing his point of view. Check his vids on Twitch, if you're interested. I think it may also be worth mentioning that Nony (aka Liquid'Tyler) was at the LAN.

Unfortunately, opening up events to the general public can often do more harm than good in the form of bad actors, loud but unwanted opinions, or too much admin labor. Grassroots events generally don't have professional resources or even the mental capacity to deal with all of this without burning out.

I really doubt those people will give you any extra work if you clearly communicate it's invite only, but up to you guys of course. This is not critique btw, more like a msg saying it doesn't hurt to put out a simple message and share the love with more community members. It's not like there is a bunch of sweaty edgelords we have to worry about here. The game is too old to them.

There are people, not regulars, to your, Gypsy's or Artosis's stream that would be happy to watch something like this as well. I only found out about the event by a random twitch stream the night before, he talked about the upcoming LAN the next day. I watched it love until it bedtime, then continued the VOD the next day. It was very entertaining low key lan vibes. I can totally understand not wanting to deal with any hassle for viewers, it seemed everyone there was really there. Playing games, not creating content. The livestream was great, surprise Nony visit, caster carrousel, vibes all around.
