Spirit taking the first game of the day with a bit of a bop. Nanami's cute Warp Prism harass really didn't do anything. The second game is a lot closer though!

Thanks for the tread

Kelazhur took down 24 Drones early and then proceeded to play one of his worst TvZ ever. Not sure if he was trying to do an 8-racks, or making Ghost transition, or making Bio Mines, or it was something in between.

It did look indecisive, and Terran can't afford to dither against Zerg at all. Zerg can remake their workers too quickly if Terran takes their foot off the gas.

Pretty even draw for Basilisk. Hopefully they can pull through.

I feel pretty confident predicting that Maru and Serral will get 2-0 wins for their teams, and that it will come down to ShoWTimE against Solar. I wouldn't be confident calling that either way, so if we went to an ace match then I wouldn't be surprised.

I definitely didn't expect both uThermal and Krystianer to tie their games. Both of them getting draws has made the YoungZest game much more important. YoungZest to cause more shocks?
EDIT:
First game is a Phoenix war. I hate playing Phoenix wars, but they're great to watch.
EDIT2:
The second game was also Phoenix wars, but it wasn't nearly as close as the first game.

The legend of YoungZest is over
I don't think SLT can avoid relegation now, but maybe they have a miracle in store.

From a biased perspective, I really hope that they don't... although our own survival probably hinges more on beating Offsyde next week than it does on the fortunes of SLT!
BattleB held his own against Cure, but that was always going to be a tough draw. There's no shame in losing that one. If we're going to get anything out of this, it's going to have to be forged in the chaos of PvP.

I knew what was gonna happen, but still, Maru tvz is shockingly bad

He played like he WANTS to be in a slump. His push is still sharp, but his macro and defense have been off by a lot. Like he could defend the damn ling runby, the 3rd one killing 3 mineral lines, all he needed was to throw down Sensor Tower and building.

I gather it’s something of a meme but how many times has Reynor gone 1-1 in this competition haha?

Since joining Basilisk, he has played 17 draws out of 31 appearances.

First season since Summer '22 that no team has less than 2 losses
|
Basilisk might pip them to first place, given their respective remaining schedules ...
That's where I'll see if Vitality's losses against PSIS-NAVI is only a speed bump or if it could result in not playing the final (worst case scenario)
