So its not like its rare for non BR/ARG to win. It would be the first for Colômbia i think, but its not like the other 2 share the wins between them. Colombia won in 2001.

Final was close and could've gone either way and England ended up overall having a pretty decent tournament - after looking rather abysmal after the first 4 matches. This game and the one against Netherlands were both good. First half they neutralized Spain in a way no other team came close to, and the second half they were forced to change it up and did so successfully.

We had the chance to avoid them by loosing intentionally and still guaranteed advancement to the QFs. Which in my opinion is an absolutely legitimate tactic. I listened to all the rule experts and it was a penalty to me whatever the people arguing for the decsision say. The VAR not even getting involved in a high stakes game like that is absolutely crazy. But it's just a part of football that questionable referee descisions influence treatment of teams in the future. We got treated quite favorably in the group stage, when it wasn't needed... Remember that 1cm offside descision you needed a whole new technology for to prove? And the Denmark penalty was also questionable, even moreso considering the Cucurella descision. Not salty though, the best team of the tournament won. I hope Nagelsmann fucks up in the foreseeable future. I despise that guy and his arrogance. + Show Spoiler + Of course then Kloppo takes over and fullfills his destiny to lead us to a Worldcup!

That always annoys me but hey, don’t think it’s an impactful thing in this game, just a bit silly. I don't even really like the guy or think him brilliant but it's a tough watch. He’s a decent bloke, and he’ll probably be slaughtered for something or other. Not being bold enough with substitutions was the stick a few matches ago, he took off Kane, unleashed the likes of Palmer and Watkins and those subs worked. Everyone’s an expert so no doubt there’ll be some new angle to attack him on.
