I don't speak Korean at conversational level but know the language enough to understand what's on screen. But redknights (who's native Korean I think) can assure you that. The donation is really THAT big. Watch carefully again. For example in this video yesterday, when a viewer donated 200 balloons (200 개), Mini didn't write the total, instead he wrote down in his notepad as 50 개 (divided by 4 because there would be 4 winners).

I mean compare it to wc3 scene, where u have at best a regular weekly 100$ tournament and few monthly and quarterly bigger once, and the biggest is like 10k$ total once in 3 months lol...

In tonight's proleague, known 큰손 "52bang" gave Rush 7000 star balloons per winner (35000 star balloons total - roughly $3500). Rush only collected 100 star balloons per winner from other viewers. not stopping there, 52bang also gave Sharp 4000 star balloons per winner (20000 star balloons total - roughly $2000). Sharp collected 500 star balloons per winner from other viewers. So a single viewer contributed $5500 to the prize pool for a daily proleague. (also can't confirm bc his VOD is not yet available bc he's still streaming, 52bang probably contributed some more star balloons to YSC's pool) Edit: 52bang also funded the entirety of YSC's contribution - 3000 star balloons per winner (15000 star balloons total - roughly $1500) updated total contribution from one single viewer = $7,000

JD won the Ace match vs Soulkey and apparantly it was very interesting because mini went over other pro's streams and they were all discussing it. It was a close game with the first muta micro battle going JDs way.

But it's no surprise when you look at the line-ups for both teams (how did they divide the players like that I'll never understand). Team 1 are all eliminated from ASL while Team 2 have 3 quaterfinalists. Team 2 should smash, right? Oh wait... it was Team 1 which brutally beat Team 2 4-0 and 4-0. In all honesty, Team 1 actually consists of ASL champion caliber players while Team 2 is more like a Ro16 squad. ![]()

Going to strongly disagree with your comment here. + Show Spoiler + You're saying that team 2 is all Ro16 talent and not Ro8 or champion caliber, yet they are all in Ro8. Team one isn't. Yes team 1 is currently placed well on Eloboard, but Team 2 has Jaedong who was #1 on Eloboard for a few days just last month, Best who is currently ranked 5th and Soma who has not been outside of the top 10 on Eloboard since it began last year, and had been top 10 on sponbbang for the two years prior to Eloboard. Soma's spent more time in the top 5 on these Elo rating boards then in the top 6-10. It is simply an unfair and untrue statement to say they're more like a "ro16 squad". Except for Mind. Mind's overall the weakest performing member going by his match history past 3 months.

In truth though, imo Team 1 on average is Ro4 quality (all 4 players) and Team 2 on average is Ro8 quality (Soma being Ro4 and Mind Ro16, with JD and Best Ro8). If you have those 2 teams play each other repeatedly, I'm sure you'll see the score gap keep widening .

Never forget Light's 10 ultimate battle in a row winstreak!
