Gotta appreciate intelligent strategies and creativity in the context of their time. On the other hand, if Rainbow makes a nonzero number of marauders, it doesn't work at all But he didn't! I don't mean to take anything away from Fruitdealer's win, just saying that ultras sucked then too lmao They didn't, ultras at the time of FD's win were bugged and actually very strong (I think it was their cleave damage applying to buildings) Oh shit I forgot about that. Basically attacking buildings applied cleave damage to all units around the building, so any SCVs repairing buildings being attacked by ultras would just die

I wonder who invented this build. Cure obviously used it at IEM and now today, but uThermal also used it earlier vs Parting in the EPT Cup. uThermal was one of the first to do BC vs Z and Battle mech vs Z so maybe he did it, but i'd be surprised if Cure saw it from uThermal specifically.

Are the maps any good? This is only the first full series I get to watch.

Cure was using it online cups prior to IEM Katowice; Mr "I watch everything" Elentos could prolly give you a more specific account

How was it? Maru still in godlike form? Stats was absolutely atrocious. You've not seen him as bad as today in years, he made it super easy for Maru. Inno vs soO was entertaining, a mechanical battle of two guys who couldn't possibly be assed to play smart. Oh crap, a win is a win though so it's nice to see Maru finally go far in ST for once
I didn't expect less from INno and soO

Sick, I guess it's him then.
I know technically Fantasy was doing that 1 base version of the build a year ago but this one is wayyyy better.

This is literally the first game that we've seen a new map besides Ever Dream (which everyone knew was super standard).

Dear fucking hell you said oracles are your favorite unit so I figured you'd be better at using them
As for the question of BCs vs Protoss, it's just high investment for usually not enough gain. Much higher risk than against Zerg to lose even the first BC without the Protoss even specifically preparing for it.
