There was a really fun run on Guardians of the Galaxy around the same time(2013) that was pretty cool, written by Bendis with art by Francesco Francavilla - his art style reminded me a lot of Aja's work on Hawkeye and was very eye catching. I think Francavilla did all colour's and inking as well, had a really cool layout and style. Story was large scale and less intimate than Hawkeye though.
I agree about the untapped potential of Dark Avengers, started out with so much opportunity but really began to taper off very quickly, hate when that happens! x)
Probably the most underutilized potential for me was on DC's Red Lanterns, I didn't know what to expect with the series but was very back and forth on the storyline. Particularly when Supergirl became a Red Lantern and they made a huge deal about how much more powerful she'd become... and then they totally brushed her off after about two issues, with her barely having any impact in the story or universe at all. I dropped it from my pull list shortly after that! lol
I've actually never read the Extremis run, but heard a lot of great things about it - I will absolutely check it out now, thanks for reminding me of something cool I should've picked up already!

Any X-men fans? I'm really excited for this Dawn of X stuff.

I'm so very behind on anything comics related atm - the last thing I've bought was Spider-Man: Velocity #1, the new series of Batman/Superman #1, and Batman Curse of the White Knight #1!
Thinking about getting the latest Nightwing and Justice League series in trade paperback, so much easier to get caught up that way! Anyone know if there's a new Doctor Strange series available or coming out soon? The last time I read Doc Strange was during the All-New All-Different Marvel relaunch of 2015, it was pretty good while it lasted - really great artwork!

I think the "heaviest" comic i ever read was megahex. It´s a shockingly lifelike fantasy about the psychological degeneration of drug addicts. Funny, Brutal in a way without being about brutality, heartbreaking. Don´t read it if you arn´t in a good state of mind, you might get nightmares or want to kill yourself...

Just listened to Sandman from Audible. Never expected a comic to translate that well into audio format.
Personally not a big fan of the disconnected story lines when one just keeps listening from one to the other. Probably holds up better when they are physically different books. Really loved the initial story line and some passages in the later ones.
