Also makes sense to talk about Reynor in this because he's playing pretty well :D Well the past hour made me not like him a little more thanks to the over hype. Well, not a big loss, I'm ignoring the foreigner scene anyway(except for HSC and I will probably skip the next days too) On November 23 2018 08:49 Xain0n wrote: Closest to beat Serral in the last patch, obviously, Frost. So is he a patchZerg by this answer? Before the patch mortal, then immortal? I'm OK with that

Nobody's going not to praise someone, because it rubs some random guy with entitlement issues on the Internet the wrong way.

He beat Innovation pretty handily as well this event. I agree Reynor is likely to become a real threat to top Koreans like Serral has but at least for next year, I'd say it's going to stay about the same. After that, well, unfortunately the Korean scene will probably get weaker because of no new blood and the old guard will have to do their military service at some point so..

Edit> and i will miss HSC because of work, not because of them being unable to shut up about Serral or Reynor.

I'm just telling the truth, he was a top player in the first half of last year and totally unbeatable(offline) in the second half; most likely due to him objectively improving. You have to understand the excitement surrounding Serral and Reynor; wouldn't you be excited if you didn't know they were not korean?

He lost to Maru and Classic before the patch and won after the patch. Isn't that a definition of a patch helping a player? Thus making said player a patchzerg(in this case) (also let's not forget that another close player to beating Serral was Stats in the GSL super tounament) I don't have to understand anything if I don't want to Anyway, I'm just joking around because of how some stupid people use the patchzerg about Rogue. I guess I have to thanks TL for that

I just think it's important Reynor proves he can win ZvZ against top tier Zerg players before 2019.

Both Reynor and Stats went 3-4 against Serral but g7 in Montreal was arguably closer. If you don't want to understand, the fault is yours entirely and the overhype is the appropriate retaliation xd

I'm not sure if you're reacting to me or not, it's late here and I;'m half working Second... YOU MUST BE JOKING!!!! Have you read this thread. Have yuou missed this one? https://www.teamliquid.net/forum/starcraft-2/530039-the-emperor-has-no-clothes-rogues-future-legacy Even the TL writing stuff authorize an article which is naming Rogue a patchzerg. You must be kidding C'mon, check this thread how people are naming him patch zerg. Even I wrote that it is the reason why I called out Serral. On November 23 2018 09:29 deacon.frost wrote: ... I already have little hype left for foreigners beating koreans because most koreans are well past their peak and every foreigner beating a korean accelerates the death of the korean scene (early knocked out players more likely to retire etc) "Cheering" for new foreign hopes that make it even harder for the remaining koreans to earn money and force them to military sooner is weird imo. I mean you can of course cheer for him because you like him or because he's a great talent but nowadays I think it's weird for someone to specificially want foreigners to beat koreans.
