Greetings, I am a 20-year BW player originally from China. I live in the East coast of US now. I am trying to host a few matches of elite non-Korean players vs. Chinese players, with a price pool of each match ranging from $100 to $200. It has been a while since the last time we saw Chinese players vs. non-Korean players (the last one I can remember is KOH, where F91 defeated several others). Let me give you a little background of BW in China. Since 2016, there were several national tournaments sponsored by Heatfighter, a former gosu, and a billionaire. Many Korean ex-pros had visited China for these matches, including Movie, Bisu, and Flash. There is also a group of ex-pros who play with Chinese players every day. Currently, there is a 2x2 tournament sponsored by Heatfighter which include several Korean ex-pros, such as Jaehoon, Soulkey, Best, etc. There is a famous host, “Sanpao”, who has been live streaming BW every night on DouyuTV (a platform similar to Twitch, but at least 50+ times larger). Many BW fans sponsor matches between two players and Sanpao would stream and comment. Normally the price for BO3 is ~$50 and BO5 is ~$70. I am looking for several elite non-Korean 1x1 players. Ideally, players should be able to maintain at least 2,100 points on BN Asia or A on Iccup, as the Chinese opponents are 2,200 to 2,400 points. If you are interested, please reply to this post, or send me a message on BN. My ID is Uncletoss, and if I’m not online you can contact hwlm.legend (aka yg.legend on Iccup). Please let me know how strong you are. I will provide you with an account of BN China and we can test the connection before the match. If the speed is OK, then we have a match. I am trying to arrange a few matches for the Thanksgiving weekend. The price I am considering is $100 for a BO3 (winner $75, loser $25). But if I can get some really strong players, I am willing to increase the price to $200 (winner $150, loser $50) for a BO5. I can send price via PayPal or Venmo. If we can get a few matches played without lag, then I would like to host some 2x2 matches as well. And once the sponsors in China knew about non-Korean gosu better, I’m sure they will be willing to sponsor more matches.
Do any of the oldschool Chinese players still play? ChinaTTTT/F91/Fengzi/Pj/Super/RushGooN/Vulture, i know Lx got up to around 2.7k in the 1st season but i dunno if he still plays.
Lx plays from time to time but he is mainly focused on Poker. ChinaTTT returned last week I heard, but I'm not sure if he's going to practice seriously. Super gave up a long time ago. Fengzi used to be no.1 of China from 2014 to 2016 but he's playing more 2x2 now. Vulture was raped by Flash when BW remastered came out and quit afterwards (Flash declined KSL to play that match in China). F91 is now one of the most famous host of SC2 in China - he made a fortune and became very famous amongst fans of Esport. The no.1 player in China is Mihu, a terran player. There are a few players slightly weaker than him: Zhanhun (toss), Fengzi, Jaystar (former pro gamer in China), Busterran, and AP (toss).
