Lets hope if this is his last year that the Cards get a decent QB to get him the ball. They'll either get Foles or Tyrod I would assume and draft someone late. Would love to see Fitz get to #2 in yards and receptions next year, hes such a good face of the league.

But I just googled and apparently his career passer rating is 93.6 with a 6:2 TD/INT ratio. Better than I wouldve thought, albeit a small sample size

Speaking of Fisher, there was a joke going around that McNair might be the best qb in NFL history.

Idk if you are a team like the Cardinals that have ZERO QBs under contract, you kind of have to scramble - do you go all in on Kirk Cousins or try your luck with a rookie? At least someone like Fitzpatrick would be able to come in and help a rookie along the way. Not to mention it will be a completely new system under their new coach. Do you risk going for broke and signing Cousins or Foles to a big deal, or go for a cheaper bridge and draft someone who has potential to work in the system going forward? Also Raiders are going 5-11, its going to be ugly for Gruden.

Also Raiders are going 5-11, its going to be ugly for Gruden. Just draft 2-3 rookies. The rest of the roster isn't good enough that they can absorb a Cousins or Foles contract without the entire thing collapsing like a house of cards. Indeed, probably only the Jags could (if they declined to pick up the bortles option), and then only for the first year. That is the curse of the average veteran QB, its actually worse than having a bad rookie, because rookies are so cheap now.
