Heroics have always been pretty easy though.
Back when I hit 110, I was like 30 ilevels under what Mythic recommended, but we put together a guild group and my first few days of 110 dungeons were all mythics. A bunch of people in the guild kept saying we were too low ilevel, but we cleared every dungeon we went into.
Currently though you can just world quest and be like 910-920 easily without setting foot into any dungeon at all.

Lvl 41 and the racial is still quite nuts

I wish you could DPS as a blood DK. I just started playing around with it the last few days and its a lot more fun then Frost. Problem is I have never tanked in my life.

it is quite easy to hold aggro and pretty fun too

If you have leveled one allied race character to 110 can you then make a character of that race on any server and also boost to 110? Or do the restrictions still apply?

Until you get to high level keys and such, you don't need to even worry about using defenses correctly.

Yea I might experiment with it just doing heroics since they are easy mode.
More importantly I found a tier set I liked from Pandaria and was able to get all of it in one run through the 2 raids that dropped it.
Will probably starting mythics this week as well since I am over 900 Ilvl now. Also begin working on getting the Tier 21 set since I got 1 piece.

You unlock the allied race (via the reputation and doing the pre quest) and then you can race change to it with a blizzard fee, the leveling to 110 is just for the heritage armor i thought?

They said that in some video I watched. But it seems you are right, I was misinformed.
On wowhead a comment says: "You do NOT need a level 110 on the server you would like to make the allied race on, you just need to unlock the race. Just made a Nightborne on a server that I do not have anything past level 21."
So apparently that was told by someone but not true.
Still annoyed that the 2 races I am interested in (dark dwarfes and zandalari) are not available yet.
But what you do need is a 110 character on the faction you want to make the new race on to be able to do the pre quests. Only have lvl 100 alliance char unfortunately which means I have to level that to 110 now.

Yeah every single one of my characters is going to be Zandarlari when it comes out haha. Seems going to take a while to unlock those as we will need to be 120 and probs get exalted or something
Also can't you just use your free 110 boost on said alliance character to help you out?

That costs 60 euros unless you never wanted to boost another char

Yeah be worth using the free boost to 110 if you didn't have an alliance character right. Even though i guess 100-110 with invasions it takes like 2-4 hours to level lol.
How you finding leveling Cyro anyway, im going to start with my mate tonight and saturday, hoping to go fast with full heirloom set. However one of my mates who clearly is slacking has taken like 3 weeks casual play to level 0-84 xD How you finding it with new scaling world? Slower, but not much slower? Way slower? Still can get quick if you know quests or?

Trying to buy heirloom stuff to level to 110 and after much confusion I find out that the traders for spending timewarped badges do not even exist at the moment. So now I have to spend like 30k gold instead although I have 20k badges lying around that I will now never use. Just great.

Levels 20-30 i was hitting quite a few 11, 12 min levels from speedquesting with an occasional first run of a new dungeon for the quests thrown in; did some stockades boosts, that's twice as fast but you can't spam them for long due to instance cap. By mid 40's it's taking more like 20-25 min per level. 20-60 is significantly extended compared to before where you'd skip over a lot of that time but it's quite reasonable and fun IMO.

Ok nice thanks, going to start the grind tonight. It not worth doing dungeons outside the quests or if it quick is it worth?

Probably only first run for quests on the faster ones unless you have 3+ people in a premade to do them quickly since the majority of PUG's are trash for speed leveling. You get most of the exp from actual boss kills so you need to get boss to boss in minimal time, optimizing for bosses per minute
|
From what I heard the HP buff has slowed down dungeons to the point where they aren't really worth doing outside of the quests (and even that can be sketchy. No first hand experience tho.

Low level dungeons are fine if you can clear them quickly (< 15 minutes at the high end if you can).
A lot of people aren't good enough to do that though. I did a SFK the other day and as soon as we zoned in it was server shut down in 15 minutes. We finished with ~4.5 minutes left and I gained a little more than a level with the quests/all bosses.
If you have a strong group I think you should be able to do well up until you hit the expansions.

Fast dungeon is good, quests are bonus. If you lack both it will suck. I wouldn't recommend random queue since you get put all over and the bonus exp isn't enough to compensate for doing a suboptimal dungeons (especially w/o quests)

It wasn't really efficient to quest before because the leveling as a whole was faster (1.6x less exp requirement from 20-40..) and if you queued into a deadmines with quests you'd outlevel your current zone and then by the time you got to the next zone you'd outlevel that as well or be stuck with green mobs and quests very quickly. Now you can get to the meat of questing without most of your time being downtime to live off the quest completion exp ;D
