Polt would get COMPLETELY destroyed in Code A, let alone Code S. Lets be honest here, he is a big fish in a small pond. Anyone else who thinks otherwise is a mega-fanboy or simply delusional.
It's no slight against him really... he is a full-time student and part-time player, and considering that he has achieved something.
Maybe if he gave up student life, flew home and joined a kespa team-house and practiced solid for months... he might earn a spot and find himself in PL.

7-5 vs MMA since 2013 5-5 vs Classic 10-11 vs Bomber
That doesn't look like a player who would get COMPLETELY destroyed in Code A, let alone Code S, to me.

In his current form? Yeah, he probably wouldn't make code S, he looks a tad weaker than in the past. In 2013 and 2014, I absolutely think Polt could've made it.
I do think you slightly overestimate the competition of code A and low code S though. Many lesser Koreigners have come home and aren't doing too bad. Look at MMA, who's just off a ro4 gsl run. ByuL was way ahead of the pack in returning home from WCS AM in 2014 and now finds himself qualified for all 3 Korean tournaments and still consistently ranks near the top of SPL for two seasons in a row. HyuN is in the SSL ro16 while HerO and Patience recently made code S
Polt is one of the smartest players we've ever had. I'd go as far to say that he doesn't even need a Kespa team, he just needs to come home and heavily commit.

Polt could make Code S, even Creator made it.

Yeah, Polt was a pretty all round damn good player for his entire period in Korea, and he obviously dominated once he moved abroad. It's pretty natural to deteriorate in skill while being abroad, so of course he wouldn't do as well now.

For me top 5 are the following: #1 Mvp #2 MC #3 Life #4 NesTea #5 TaeJa
Simply based on consistency for long periods of times and prestigious of the awards they got. I find MC way much consistent than Life and he stayed in top of the world for a very long period of time .. yet still playing and doing ok in many tournaments at the moment!
Next 5 are a bit tricky .. Cuz simply there are many players who can clam a spot there .. But I believe the following should be there: #6 MMA #7 INnoVation #8 Polt #9 Zest #10 Bomber

Not one person has gotten the top 10 completely right yet
|
10. Zest 9. Parting 8. Polt 7. Innovation 6. MC
5. Taeja 4. Nestea 3. MMA 2. Life 1. Mvp
I spent like 20 minutes making this and I'm still not fully satisfied with it, I can't imagine how hard a really well done researched one would be

Zest Nestea Innovation sOs Bomber Taeja Polt Parting MMA MC Life MVP Hint: three of those aren't in the Top 10 Shit fuck, I just saw this comment so now I know mine is wrong, but I can't think of a player who deserves to be in the top 10 over these guys.

I think I've seen one person with the correct top 10, but not in order

I'll be interested to see if Nestea makes it in, or Inno.
If either of them don't make it that would throw almost everyone off

Why is Rain so many times listed in the top 10? Have I missed any recent world-class results? He was my favourite protoss player once upon a time, but his results were not that good. No way he gets a better position tan sOs or soO.

So many people in this thread confuse being good today with being the best of all time. To deny Nestea is up around the top because he played in early SC2 just means that you don't understand the best of all time. He won GSLs in multiple years...unlike MC or MVP he kept his code S status and didn't drop into code A. He defeated a top 15 players in a GSL final...the dude is a lock to be near the top.
