My point is that code S isn't as strong as it was due to the total reset and the volatility it created. This will slowly change over time again, it already does this season.
I don't even wanna say MMA is bad and his semi final doesn't mean anything (i mean he did beat Innovation and Dark in the ro16), but i also think the path to get to the semi was overall easier than the average path usually is.

MMA is pretty overrated here, but its ok, each one has his own oppinion. Just strange to see that players like Inno, sOs, Zest, Rain, herO, Soulkey etc are most likely getting ranked below the Stars of Wings, just because they arent Oldschool or coz they got a boring personality or whatever. Most players of WoL didnt stand a chance against the best guys from KeSPa during HotS tbh, I can say that even though I havent followed much of the 2nd half of HotS, What has Polt accomplished lately? (didnt follow the scene recently as I mentioned so dont bash me)

MMA played: Dear, Dark (2x), INnoVation, TY to get to the semis.
PartinG played: First, MC, Maru (3 times), Solar
herO played: TaeJa, Curious, MC, Maru, Rogue
Life played: Gumiho (2x), Rain, YoDa, Soulkey, INnoVation
I would not say that this is necessarily easier overall. Some individually weaker players are in there, but most of those are still world class players.

Wanna update that first list that I made pretty much out of the gut. Now I compared some results in liquipedia. Also read that hint of 3 out of 10 are not in.

Last code S had 32 best players in it... no idea why would you think it didnt? Those that didnt get in were beaten by those that did... so its only your subjective feeling that those dropped to A were better than those in S because reasons...
I bet you are one of those who thinks kespa players > all and couldnt accept that in code S there were more of those returning to korea, non-kespa guys than kespa players... so it wasnt "best players". But guess what... they were better than kespa players and deserved to be there. So 32 best players were in code S... the best of the best
How are some players among "best" 32 if they failed to get into best 32? Every single player in there had 2 chances to get in and those that lost both... well, were not best 32 at the time, obviously!
Also the way MMA played, he had every right to be in semi finals... saying you doubt he is a semi finalist is a bit silly... considering he beat guys you think are good enough to be there... and him/those guys he beat all did beat others you think are among "best" to get there... its not like someone put him there because they like him... or anyone else getting into code S

Good question... Perhaps both of them should not be in the list, according to their results in tier-1 tornaments. I just feel they will be there.
