It's nostalgic to think of the WoL days before the Kespa invasion, but the truth is winning pre-Kespa GSL is easier than winning hotsix cup today or maybe even some of the more stacked iem today. How leenock winning mlg is tougher than sOs winning blizzcon, iem world and hotsix is beyond me. Top 3 of a race in 2012 is nothing compared to top 10 in 2015.
MMA is kinda relevant (GSL semifinalist but close to retiring) You can't be much more "relevant" than a Blizzcon final and a GSL semifinal... In that, yes, but he said he'll probably retire and join the military this year, so how much longer he'll stay relevant is questionable; hence the "kinda". And Blizzcon and his GSL semifinal had several months between them where MMA didn't look great, he rose to relevance again after he reached GSL Ro16 and outplayed Dark, who had previously stomped him in the Ro32, and INnoVation, but before that he looked like he'll not get much done in Korea for a while.
So don't take this as a jab at MMA.

Bitbybit should be higher. He innovated with Terran in ways nobody could.
Will never forget his epic clash with the legendary Haypro.

sOs... Seriously?
maybe YOU are the stupid one, and some people just show their own personal Top 10, because they dont need to get a TL+ ?
sOs easily belongs Top 10 IMO, he won some of the hardest contested and stacked tournaments ever, in fact by that, he won a lot of prize money in a short period of time, while MMA ...I´am not so sure about, dude didnt accomplish much after Wings. I would have probably put him somewhere around 11-13.

I'm no MMA fan, but three WCS EU finals and two wins along with runner up at Blizzcon is not accomplishing nothing.

And after the WCS reform he went back to Korea and got a top 4 finish in Code S. What's your point?

WCS EU had more than enough good players to make winning it or placing highly an achievement. Also remember MC went to WCS EU after barely losing to Roro (who went on to win it) in GSL round of 8 and both MMA went right back to korean and qualified for GSL both going to at least the top 16 so it is not like they would have had no chance if they stayed in Korea.

You shouldn't really value the results of last code s too highly, code s needs a few seasons to be stable again. With the total reset the results are a lot more volatile than before. I mean just look at MC, he had to play vs Nette, Losira, Penguin and Fantasy to get into the Ro16. Usually it's way harder to achieve the same

So going to WCS EU doesn't really say a lot and being successful there is an accomplishment in its own right.

so, conveniently, NONE of MMA's results mean anything, because reasons

I am just saying that you shouldn't only look at the result of last code s and value it the same as the results of last year for example. The reset changed a lot and will take a while to have the best 32 players in code s again (i mean that probably was never the case, but close enough) I think MMA is probably a code s player, but i doubt he really is a semi finalist tbh

do you know who is a code s semi-finalist?
the people who get to the code s semi finals.
the point of a tournament is to differentiate between reality and the fantasy land in your brain. in the tournament, they play the games. in your head, they don't.
do you know who consistently finishes in the round of 4 or higher in code s? no one. mvp and soo are the only players in the history of this game to do so with any consistency. does no one else count?
