Yeah for real. People act like he didn't do anything besides his three wins. He was actually pretty strong in Korea for a few years I don't know if i would say that he was "pretty strong in korea for a few years" tbh. His best result (if i didn't miss something) after his last code s win was ro8 (two times). He was decent, not really strong though. This doesn't change the fact that he actually won code s three times, but you simply have to value these early code s titles A LOT less then the current ones. He should be in a top 15 list, but i am not sure if he should be in the upper half

He should be in a top 15 list, but i am not sure if he should be in the upper half He was undoubtedly the best Zerg player for quite some period of time, is one of the winningest players of all time, and has won more money than nearly any other SC2 player. If we're talking about HotS, then no, he's not relevant. If we're talking about all of SC2 (which we are), then he's the friggin man

"innovation" is so vague that it means almost nothing considering that we simply don't know who really innovated (ladder, coaches, etc). We can say that player X used strategy Y successfully though. Which leads to -> success > "innovation". Otherwise Catz might be the GOAT

I have a hard time thinking who improved the race overall more tbh, nestea I suppose figured out the fundementals while stephano came up with speedlings into ultras, 3base roach rush, 2 base hydra timings, perfected infestor/broodlord, wrote the book on zvp. But nestea did prove that hatch before pool is better vs 11/11... In any event I don't want stephano to be high on that list nor do I want nestea to be high on that list.
