Anyway, previous day had better potential but somewhat failed to deliver (I don't mean the games were horrible, but not super memorable), so today maybe it will be the other way round and we'll have some amazing matches. Honestly, aside from Zest vs Hydra and Life vs INnoVation, I was always hyped more for day 2's matches.

I was pretty hyped for Life vs Inno, Fantasy vs Rain too (because I like Fantasy for some reason). Both were quite disappointing for me. I mean, Life vs Inno went to game 5, but none of the games were extremely good. Nothing comparable to Life vs Dream for example.
For day 2, I don't care that much. I like Bbyong and herO but more for their (apparent) personality (both seem to be just cool guys) than their play.

I really like herO and Cure, I love Flash and like Trap, I like Bbyong and Solar, and I anticipate Maru vs Patience to be decently entertaining despite not being a huge fan of either of them.

Upset of the day will be Cure beating herO. Other than that, Solar Flash and Maru win i think.

not so sure about Cure's TvP. he has amazing TvZ and is definitely a super solid terran but I just don't see him beating arguably the best protoss in the world right now.
plus its IEM so hero has to go deep

Though I will cheer for herO, obv. (Head says Cure, heart says herO)

By the way, I see the map pool better for Terran in terms of drops, but there are also some nice things Protoss can do, i.e. immortal bust through the backdoor on Expedition Lost. SCV pulls aren't that great on Vaani and Secret Spring IMO, and cross spawns Deadwing and Inferno Pools are much better for Protoss. So I'd say herO has better chances than Cure.

Inferno Pools in cross position is still pain in th.. with drops, because of the air space and position of third, wide ramp isn't helping either, but you have HUGE amount of time if the Terran does some parade pushing
Secret Spring will be vetoed by Cure. The map calls for blink all in and herO is good at it :>
But yes, Protoss can win it, it's not something unplayable.

Inferno Pools cross is so big you can go get a coffee before the parade arrives at your natural <.<. But herO is pretty good with defending drops. However, close positions Inferno is imbalanced for Terran and basically unplayable as Protoss, so herO might veto that in lieu of better maps (i.e. Deadwing).

Patience beating Maru would be a cool upset to see.
Hopefully the games today are better than yesterdays ^_^

Maru 3-0 patience.
Maru ain't got no time today, sorry.

Another beautiful OP. Thanks Lorming, those gifs really add something cool.

+ Show Spoiler +
Maru is really playing well atm. Patience is an unknown, hasn't been playing recently. I give it to Maru. 3:1 for Maru
Solar is good especially in foreign individual Tournaments but Bbyong with his crazy TvZ mech builds already has proven to be problematic for lot of Zergs. This is gonna be close but I believe in Bbyonghwa. 3:2 for Bbyonghwa
her0 is back in form it seems and even though Cure is really good, I think her0's PvT should do the job. 3:2 for her0
Trap is on fire recently however he's lost a map vs Hack. FlaSh is trying to get on track but I don't feel he is there yet. This is hard to predict but because there is no sOs (still sad T_T) I want to believe in Trap to carry the Jin Air crazy protoss torch 3:1 for Trap

Patience's run through the qualifiers, btw, was: Keen, Cure, Gumiho, soO, Dark. Not bad.
|
btw, will there be a replaypack released after the event? I believe IEM did that in the past right?
