Because Mind doesn't look good for you? Because I wouldn't want to keep watching a game in which every goddamn "solid" Terran with no personality and standard and uninnovative play can come out of nowhere and own someone like JD. Him being ugly coupled with his uninspiring personality is a reason why I can't personally stand him, but his play is why I can see my interest in SC dwindling greatly should he be able to win against Jaedong. The only people who call top progamer terran boring and standard obviously don't play terran. Mind has skill and is anything but standard. If he was standard he would lose a lot more Using the best/most solid builds available at the time is nothing you can fault a player for.
If you don't like his look fine, but some of us aren't 13 year old korean girls and can appreciate a player for his play and not his looks. He has solid and incredibly SMART play. Couple this with a flare for micro and you have a great player. Jaedong is the EXACT same way. Solid/incredibly smart, with a flare for micro. He doesnt depend on sneaky builds he just plays straight up but with better skill and better brains than anyone else.
This is what brood war is about. If you don't like the way bw is right now, then prehaps youre not a fan of bw. But more of a fangirl for the players themselves? Theres plenty of reach pictures you could download, or maybe you could get a poster and hang it on your wall?

And here we are, with all the talk of the end of terran dominance, with 5/8 people in the ro8 being terran. I guess hats only about 2 above the expected value, but still

Jesus I did the exact same thing and I swear I've checked the upcoming events several times to make sure it was the right time! Am I too used to the MSL being 18:30 for the big matches and not 14:00 or did it change in the last minute!? But anyway Jaedong beat Luxury 2-0 and all is good again!

Battle of the terrans?
And I missed this becasue I'm brain dead will catch it tommorow.
Glad nada won.
GO NADS!

Way too many fucking terrans in the quarters
WTF Anytime, you had that, Nada is so freaking out of shape, basically tossed 2 games away -_- ON toss maps too -_-
Rooting for Jaedong vs Kal finals now. Jaedong vs Upmagic would be fun if Upmagics TvZ didn't blow.

Lets face it, Mind doesn't have all that much personality in his game. Yes he plays very competent and reasonably smart, nothing spectacular, great timing and safe play, its all pretty much by-the-book, and also lets face the fact that there are way too many terran players of that sort around, at any moment there are only a very few gosu zergs (usually with a very powerful difference in their game, compare Savior, JD, July, Chojja) and a lot of mediocre ones, a very few gosu protoss (with some powerfully different styles, compare Stork, Bisu, Much) and a lot of mediocre ones, but at the moment theres not one really gosu terran, but a whole lot of "solid" safe players who clog up the Kespa top 30 and regularly make quarters and stuff and don't provide much in the way of excitement.
We've seen a steady stream of them ever since the last truly dominating and exciting T player, iloveoov, and none of them have achieved any lasting success nor look to have any. Every OSL/MSL you always get like 45% T players and generally most of them are hardly players whose games I'm really looking forward too. There are a few with a spark of brilliance, idiosyncrasy and creativity (Casy, Up, even Iris) and I enjoy watching them.
Part of it I admit is also just being sick of seeing Terran matchups, we don't get nearly enough cool PvZ (favorite matchup) or ZvZ (can be very intense, but so rare) or PvP (maybe even rarer given the dearth of Ps). Its a spectator sport after all. It seems even the map makers have caught on, we havent seen pro T maps in a while (not that they stopped Savior last time) and pro P maps and Z maps (Katrina, Blue Storm) are being kept around.

True, but on a bright note a good thing is that we can have only 1 terran in semifinals.

Well let's be positive, shall we? And honestly i don't believe this is possible, at least jaedong and possibly Kal will be in semis

If you dislike terran, then it's not really a bright note if at least one terran is Guarenteed a semifinal spot and it is possible for all four semifinalists to be terran.
And about Mind: he's not a usual terran in any way. He's won the first MSL since iloveoov back in '04, and although it's not been said often, in a way he's dethroned Bisu. In these last two games against Shine, he opened with a non-standard TvT build, and many comment that his games are always exciting to watch. He's about the youngest progamer out there (other than flash and by.baby), almost two years younger than jaedong (one year and nine months). He has the time and the opportunity to become the youngest OSL winner as well.
He won the first starleague he's appeared in, so he does not have much in the way of name recognition. Give him time and he may win a memorable game in a memorable way. Once his name becomes attached to a playstyle, the process of branding will begin. Mind has huge potential, as he is at the same age as when Nada first started playing.

That's exactly what I mean.
It's quite of a cheap shot to paint me as a 13-fan girl just because I admitted that part of me doesn't personally like Mind because he, as a person, is uncharismatic and unappealing. I am able to separate the players with how they play, and in fact I quite like, for example, Stork because although he isn't good-looking or charismatic either, I admire his play and what he brings to the tournaments he participates in (and to PL). Mind just happens to lose on both fronts - I neither like the guy himself nor his play and I am increasingly getting frustrated with the Terran race and the circumstances for its success.

lol at the path for Mind, do yo see similarity with the previous MSL
GOM TV S3 MSL --------- GOM TV S4 MSL
first Mind beat ManiaST (no-name) ------ first mind beat shine (no-name) second Mind beat Iloveoov (bonjwa) ------ second mind will beat NaDa (bonjwa) third Mind beat Savior (bonjwa) ------- third mind will beat jaedong (pseudo-bonjwa) fourth Mind beat Bisu --------- third mind will beat kal !!!!!
u eared it first !!!!

Nada in the final would be a dream comes true <3

You just answered it yourself, you don't wan't to see any terran matchups. But still you exaggerate. One rule for a progamer is, if you're not at least solid in all matchups you sooner or later get cut out of the run. Let's not forget we had 10 zergs in the round of 16!
What happend to them? Sea and Mind killed HoGiL and ZerO. No suprise there sAviOr took the exit with 0-2 GoRush couldn't handle Light (and only Light it was!) Yell0w[ArnC] died to his fellow zerg members.
Let's look at them protoss players who could not make it to the round of 16 SangHo 0-2 free 0-2 Nal_rA 0-2 Bisu 0-2
I mean it doesn't get more clearer than that. There where only two terrans who left the scene with a 0-2 on their back (xellos and memory). You can bitch about them mediocre terrans all you wan't, but i would hate more on these players up there who delivered nothing besides filling up room.
And. Yes we had a trend of more Terrans than Zerg and Protoss for the last three season (altough OSL now has more protoss). Terran was a dominant force, but overall there where lots of starleagues with more zergs than terrans. And the 16-players format tourneys had even race counts a lot. The format somehow encouraged that.
It strucks me with lightbolts to see your cute little "gosu zerg and protoss" list. And while you list those you act like these players are all spitshiny and all terrans are basicaly nothing but one dimensional. So on one hand you list those players completly ignoring how they do now but you trash terrans because they achieve nothing but quarters and such at this very moment. Was there anything like bisu and stork for protoss before? NO. Was there any Zerg really as dominant as savior before? NO. But i'm shure you know who was dominant before them. Don't act like the current state of the scene was allways like this. KeSpa lead by 2 protoss players before bisu and stork was a pipedream for protoss fans. You should be happy that you finaly have such consistend leaders. Did any boxer fan cry about how he had to fight against these countless mediocre zergs? Trash Mind all you wan't but don't act like Stork is even near a bisu or nal_ra or the coolness of a reach when it comes to personality.
You say you wan't more pvz, pvp and pvz. Watch proleague. 44 ZvZ 69 PvP 78 ZvP. Yeah rare as fuck. One month ago people bitched about how there where to many mirror matches.
