This guy seems to have been perm banned for advertising/"Referral link spam" back in 2011, and his posts were nuked. He was, at some point, unbanned, but all of his posts are still nuked as he makes them.
For example: this post is nuked, even though it was just made, and reads
Thank you for your amazing interviews, I'll never forget the interview with EGM & Blitz, such awkwardness can only be created by the chosen one.
He also made a double post in the "change my name topic" thread
Assuming the unban is not a mistake, shouldn't his posts be un-nuked?

Once nuked it can't be un-done, all future posts will also be nuked.

Nuking is serious business

I wonder why it can't be un-done? You can still see the post if it hasn't been reported and if it has, it's been put somewhere

Nuking is a really old mechanic that, according to Plexa, was "hacked together". It predates most current staff members so we don't really know exactly how it works, but no one can un-do it.

It shows up if you try reporting it, unless it's been reported

If I am not mistaken it pre-dates R1CH as well :O

At one point it used to edit their posts into oblivion, but now it just sets a flag on the user. It can be undone but there isn't a pretty interface to handle it right now. Plus, nuking someone should generally be a one way deal.

what happens if u nuke him again, will it now change his icon in the profile page back to a nuke? cause atm its an scv in the profile page but a nuke in forum posts, why not nuke/ban him again so he cant make nuked posts and if he really wants to post just let him make a new account
|
Nuke just means the posts are deleted. Banning is what causes the nuke icon.

Once I noticed what had happened (before seeing this thread) I banned him and told him to create a new account, so yeah.
