The way I see team events working in future is the way SC2L did it. Do everything offline except the finals and get the players to another live event and do the finals there. It's more efficient, the players get more exposure, can play in the other tournament too, you can share the costs, everyone wins.
That must be really hard on some of the players though. Wasn't it a long day of open/group play followed by team league in to the small hours? I mean it just becomes so much. But yeah it's pretty efficient.

I love the ATC, it's my favorite event to watch because you get to the team members that maybe are not making finals and so on, and every once in a while they put out a huge performance.

Why are Empire and Invictus invited, instead of having to re-qualify? Last season, it was said that the bottom two teams would drop out and have to re-qualify.

Empire and Invictus are the replacement of those disbanded teams.

They should speak to teams about rules. Like players should not play with a barcode, they have to play matches with a strict schedule.

So what you suggest is that tournaments starts to cooperate more? I like that idea (in general)
I'm not gonna lie, i wasn't hyped for SC2L at all, BUT the fact that they had the finals at Dreamhack was simply brilliant. DH is gonna be in X weekend no matter what, so either there would be schedule conflicts or they worked together and Bam!: DH and a Team league finals.
If ESL/IEM, Dreamhack, NASL, (Redbull?) (MLG?) and so on would either A) make their own team league or B) work together with ATC, ClanWars, (or SC2L if it came back) to have their live portions combined. Maybe even let the qualified teams players attend/invited to participate in the 1v1 tournament.
Altough alot of problems might show up (I.e: sponsor conflicts maybe), hopefully stuff like this will happen more.

So maybe this ATC final can be played at the next HSC? I doubt that would be possible, ATC and HSC are sponsored by rivaling brands, and I dont think that either sponsor would be happy with shared screentime. And I doubt TaKe would replace the entire branding in the flat during the day.

After looking at the results again, Invictus was really close, they lost 4-5 a mere 3 times ( vs. TL, mouz and Quantic). Oh and they didnt play 2 of their matches for some reason

Had we not lost stupidly those two matches (Quantic and coL) and we'd have been at 5-3 with only Invictus to play to confirm our playoffs spot. Things went so bad but I guess we deserved that for taking Axiom's spot in season 1 playoffs. Or simply for having players who don't show up.

Nice, I always enjoy team-leagues. Having to strategise which player to send against whom on which map makes the whole thing more interesting.

Empire \o/
we need more players tho!

Cool stuff, I fondly recall the season 2 finals. Watching MMA dominate everything and everyone while Scarlett was playing some online cup on the side was pretty funny. Some rather good games from that final too.
