So I got drunk tonight. I think it's okay even though I have a physics final to take tomorrow. I'm going to smash that shit as smashed as I am now.
Replays I have from just a moment ago I did some sick strats against some NA dudes. They were pretty nice mostly, except one dude rage quit and I thought we had a connection.
LINK
I'll be doing this again sometime so anyone can request any build order to try to perform you can possibly think of. Mothership rush into DT? Ok no problem I can do this.
Ganna go hang out upstairs with my good friends since they are drinking too and I should be a bro.
Some highlights!
First game started out as a ZvT, nothing too special going on here... Nothing suspicious will happen, or anything strange.
Except wait a minute, what's this I see in the minimap??
Apparently I decided a drone rush would be a good idea, what do you think of this ideaa?
Well if you thought it was a bad idea, the gods of StarCraft programming disagree, as they have produced a record of a 4 worker lead at 3 minutes :D
Totally not on my game my overlord scouts (by accident) a proxy barracks. Well shit I don't even notice and continue not notcing and playing SC2 without really caring about the minimap at this time.
Consequently I'm forced to just go fuill yolo and see what happens...
Yolo successful as I still have a slight worker lead! Now lets baneling bust him because it feels right rthing to do ok
I catch a huge break because he went 3 cc with a single floating barracks. As you can imagine some bad terrible things happened in his base a minute or two later!
No chances of survival for any of these units (banelings kill themselves)
Since the last bust worked so well, lets just try it again!!!
Thinking on my feet I quickly decide to just run into one of the buildings. I think I chose the weakest one and was 100% confident I'd bust through and leave him with four workers again.
... Well that was terribkle what was I thinking. Luckily that CC has like no life as a consequence of me not thinking at all. Lets kill it with my leftover lings.
My brilliant [retarded] CC snipe left me with no units, so out of desparation I build some evo chambers and tech to muta. This evo is ganna die so fast
In a last ditch effort to not die to hellions i remake my evo chamber. Risky sure, but my opponent had backed away just this moment because my spine finished and hit him once
After some shenanigans where I took on 4 hellions and a medivac with a queen (once again 100% sure I'd win the fight) I ended up getting ggutas out and finished his anti air thor viking
This was fun~~ Hope someone enjoyed

People do crazy shit when they're drunk. That was crazy.

You should do bw builds yo
2fact tvp, 5fact tvp, 10/15 gate rushes, 4gate chargelot pvz, shit like that.
oh also, you should do the MANTrain and the Tasteless build (well my own two versions). Best toss builds imo.

Teoita is clearly correct in all things.
TvT: I actually know nothing about BW TvT. Follow your heart. TvZ: 3-tank 1-Raven push off 2 bases. TvP: Pure Tank/Widow Mine mid-game. Medivacs are permitted to simulate the Vulture's increased movement speed, but you can't pick up Tanks with them.
ZvT: Roach/Swarm Host mid-game. Fast tech to Vipers. Under no circumstances are you allowed to attack the Terran before Vipers are out. (Roach/Swarm Host is admittedly probably closer to the Hydra/Lurk composition now.) ZvZ: Ragequit because Muta vs. Muta is pretty much BW anyway. ZvP: ALL THE MACRO HATCHES IN THE UNIVERSE. Crackling drops in the late-game are mandatory.
PvT: 10/15 gate. PvZ: FFE into Phoenix/DT. PvP: 2-Gate stalkers + Speed Prism Immortal Drops. Must play sad music in tribute to the Reaver throughout the entire match.
EDIT: No, DarkPlasmaBall is clearly correct. Must go for a single Oracle into Dark Templar into a Mothership, then Mass Recall into the enemy's main. All matchups.

One base tempest into DT into oracle? With the mothership out, doing the stove in s2 is really hard :/
Sounds totally legit.
@poster above me: we can do better. TvT he can go like mech with mass medivacs for mech doom drops. TvP do a random ass allin like 2fact tank/mine imo TvZ yeah i guess that works
ZvZ fuck it just ling allin ZvP 3/5 hatch hydra busts! ZvT 2hatch swarm host
PvP that shit's legit man wtf. Should do it the manly/disney way and nex first PvZ Nah that's for pussies. Either mass phoenix+immortal drops or go like stargate>chargelot timing>storm or something PvT let's be precise here, 10/15 into DT, Jangbi style :D

Ok ... There is silly builds that you can do.
ZvP => You get fast ass burrow and burrow in expand before he can do it (works depending of... your drinking level and sometime on the drinking level of the opponent)
ZvX => Proxy a hatch like a protoss would proxy two gate or two rax for terran.
PvX => You can try my infamous build.... Proxy Carrier (or tempest depending on how much i drank).
PvX => Proxy pew pew nexus.
Trust me ! you will get so much ladder points !.... or not...

What's the equivalent of the scout ?

It can't be. The tempest does actual damages.

That;s my mentality for my normal games. I believe that, in gold league at least, shitty build orders can be compensated by trying to have MarineKing micro

Can you hallucinate tempests? That'd get close to the Scout i think.

That is freaking genius.
So Hallucinated Tempest + DT (real ones)! But you need to warp 3 sentry before doing one hallu (in order to emulate the scout costs)

Ah, but you need to build a Fleet Beacon before you can build a Tempest, so I think that makes up for the fact that the Tempest can pick off a couple of units on a good day, thus vastly outstripping the Scout in effectiveness. It also makes it less likely that you'll be able to surprise your opponent with it, which is absolutely essential to the Stove.

Dunno man i'd be pretty fucking surprised by a lone tempest flying in my base 10 minutes into the game. First thought would definitely be "lol he's either bad or drunk", so you can argue the tempest actually accomplishes a similar role to the scout.
Also, i love this thread.

It's psychological warfare. That's what makes the Stove so powerful.
Regrettably though, it still lacks the second element of the original Stove, namely its ingenious build order flow. The original Stove is the only build ever conceived where the logical counter to the first step also completely and utterly shuts down the second step. If we wished to simulate this. we could always do a DT Drop instead of regular DT harass. The Tempest encourages the opponent to build Vikings, which counter both Warp Prism harassment AND the Mothership. I am a goddamn genius.
Actually, now that I think about it, a lone Carrier might be even better than the Tempest. It's a bit more deadly, sure, but it requires an extra minute to get out, more strongly encourages the ever-crucial Vikings, and most importantly at all, what unit is the true Scout of Starcraft 2? The one unit that never gets used.
The Carrier.

ZvZ YOLO build: 14 hatch inside your own main, rush out 2 queens and metabolic, maximum 16 drones for the entire game, and then just make lings for the rest of the time.
Alternate version: 15 hatch in your own main, use the hatch, a queen and a spine to wall-off your ramp. Double gas into 1 base mutalisk rush

Yeah i thought of that. The problem with Oracles is that they are kind of useful as early game harassment, so we regrettably have to rule those out.
I do love the carrier idea though.

Oh yeah, we definitely can't use Oracles; Stargate expand into Oracle is disturbingly close to being viable.
