Hi TL,
First, here's my stuff : - CPU : I5 3570k @ 4.3 ghz - GFX : Gigabyte GTX 670 OC - Mb : Asus P8Z77-V LX - Ram : 8gig Kingston HyperX 1600mhz - HDD : 500gb Caviar Blue - SSD : 128gb Crucial M4 - Monitors : hanns.g hs233h3b / Asus Ve228T, both DVI plugged
So, my problem here has been occuring way before I got my new Hanns.G monitor. In fact, when I plug only one monitor at the time, I have no problem, but when I plug them both, I can see some little stuttering from time to time on the main monitor (for example : in games).
I tried to switch the monitors from one DVI to the other one, but nothing changed. It's really annoying since my main monitor is a 120hz and those little stuttering make it looks really bad. My Asus VE228T was my main monitor before, and I had the exact same issue.
All my drivers are up-to-date.
If someone has already encoutered this problem and know how to fix it, I would be really grateful!
Thanks you. Dodh

edit : double post mistake sry

What's the frequency of your second monitor?
|
Main one is 120hz, second one is 60hz.
But as I already told, the problem was already there when I had 2 60hz.

If your running Win7, disable Aero and that should do the trick. A lot of people have issues with this, i have the same problem on my GTX660 with dual monitors. It has something to do with WDDM (1.1)/DirectX 11 and Aero which causes the problems on Win7. For example when i put a old 4870 card in my system i dont have any problems.
I've recently searched days about this problem and no one really knows a solution besides disabling Aero. If you already have Aero disabled and your not running Win7, i have no clue.

you could try disable only Aero Peek, otherwise try to disable Aero entirely and see if thats does anything for you.

Disabling Aero seems like a huge step for me, because I really don't like the blue taskbar and i've never found out how to change it to black
Otherwise, thanks a lot ! I will try it and tell you if there's any changes.

You cant even change the taskbar color on the basic Win7 theme without Aero, its pretty stupid indeed Win7 sucks pretty hard but it's still better then Win8 unfortunately.

Unfortunately yes, but I tried to disable only Aero Peek and it looks like my problem is solved for the moment... I even have 100 more fps at the beginning of the game on Heart Of The Swarm haha.
I'm not sure if I will never have this problem again, but if it is, thanks a LOT, It was bothering me since a looooong time.

Just an update to this post :
It's been less than a month that I disabled Aero completely, and I got rid of those little stuttering.
But now that Aero is disabled, I have awful screen tearing... In all games, even on youtube. Looks like Aero provide some kind of hardware acceleration that disable screen tearing, but add those weird stutterings... I'm really sad atm, I don't know what to do. Both problemes are really annoying, and I don't really know why it looks like I'm the only person on the internet who have this problem since I can not find anything on Google about my problem.
Maybe someone know here...

Do you still have the issue in fullscreen?

However, fullscreen is not something I want to avoid if possible.
Looks like 120hz with 60hz monitor is a really bad idea, I will sent my 120hz monitor back.

I have even bigger problems but its HOTS beta...
I have also a dual screen setup, it lags also I dont know why but as soon as I switch to full screen problem seems to be solved. I dont have these shitty problems with wol... thats why its called beta?

Remove the OC on the card, sometimes with dual monitors that can cause issues a bit rare though now of days. Outside of that I looked up your monitors shame not one of them has a Displayport on them because that could possibly be one of their issues, one monitor is running at a different refresh rate then the other, Displayport uses a different chip to do the work of displaying and so that would essentially separate the work and then the different refresh rates wouldn't be a possible issue(although a bit easy to test for just set both monitors to run at 60hz see if problems persist).

Setting my main monitor (120hz) at 60hz make it looks like I have 30fps...
My colors keeps resetting on nvidia pannel and stuf... I will just RMA my 120hz and pick up another 60hz. Displayport does not support 120hz IIRC.
Now I will try to take a look at the TL monitor thread ! But i'm so broke ._.
Edit : Displayport support 120hz, but I don't have Displayport on my 120hz :/ Maybe if there's a possibility to plug my secondary monitor on my onboard graphic chipset from my I5 3570k and the 120hz on my graphic card, my problem will be solved... I will gather some informations!
Edit2: I finally managed to put my secondary monitor on my CPU, and it doesn't heat much more. My 120hz is finally as fluid as it's supposed to, and I haven't got any stutter or screen tearing. I don't need to change my screen finally haha :D.
If someone have the same problem, you can PM me and I will explain you how I did it.
Edit3: It's running really fluid after quite some tests. However, my main screen begin to lag when I have a video on my secondary monitor..
