I do agree somewhat with what PartinG said though. He was STUPID enough to attack into 12 spine crawlers w/pre made zerglings the first two games.
I didn't have a chance to watch their games, but did supply really blindly build crawlers? i think that looking at replays isn't too bad, but just blindly metagaming like that looks bad in terms of skill..

He's slightly ticked he got meta-gamed (blind counter based on knowledge from outside the game), but I dunno why it's being taken so seriously, it's pretty obviously a joke. Are we really stuck in the "Koreans are emotionless robots" mindset still, to the point where we get mad over a friendly jibe?

While this tournament was exciting and I'm happy to see Parting finally get his win, I wish the Korean qualifiers would have been more recent. We would have definitely seen more KR terrans judging by recent GSL results, as well as maybe Life and Leenock (who looks like the best in the world) getting spots.

I think Parting means to say that he thinks Koreans are better because they practice harder, so seeing Suppy do some last-second "cramming" makes him think that it's a poor substitute for quality practice. So that's one thing he seems to dislike. But what he's really upset about is the blind defensive counter against Parting. The two can be unrelated in the context of just that one game. He thinks foreigners don't practice correctly, AND that Suppy blind countered because that's all he can think to do, instead of "elevating his game" or whatever.
So basically, Parting took offense to losing to Suppy at all, but to lose because of a blind counter made him especially pissed. Imagine the hilarity had Suppy found a way to win the series.
So I don't really agree with Parting's words, but I believe that's what he was going for.
He does seem to strongly dislike foreigners, and dismissed his losses to Suppy as something of cheating (replay sharing) and blind preparation/luck.
I have to admit, he seems a little disrespectful and kind of a big man-baby here. What did he expect Suppy to do, not assume Parting would use that same build again? Yeah, sure :/

I am pretty sure he was not upset at all. He is not dumb. He is bragging about his own skill. Nothing new there.

^ There's just that one problem of gglords/winfestors/40-50 spine. Just saying. I don't like it any more than you do.

Implying P can win lategame PvZ. maybe we would know if they could if they didn't abuse 2 base all ins every game.
There's enough games that extend past hive that give us a pretty good idea of how lategame ZvP goes.. every zerg player that was interviewed in the last few tournaments admit it.

With his pride, I'd be willing to wager that he's upset he lost a game to a foreigner at all. Which seems fine.
I don't want him burned at the stake or anything! This kind of talk isn't "killing esports"
I also must acknowledge that meaning and intent can be lost in translation from Korean to English.

Holy crap people are taking that statement WAY too seriously. What is wrong with you all?

I love how suppy scouting him every game and reacting to that information metamorphs into blind countering. Shows how many people here with their important opinions actually even watched the games
If he just blind countered him every game then he would have auto lost game 2 where Parting did a build that hits a minute and a half earlier and Suppy reacted completely differently.
Parting obviously knows this so its probably a mistranslation or boasting.

i was going for parting the whole time. good translation and funny interview

I'd find it interesting to find Naniwa's take on the incident, as leaked replays from pride/fellowship as opposed to being teammates has been something he's been VERY outspoken against in the past. Granted, most of the time when he was annoyed it was because of practice partners leaking stuff, an incident much worse than what happened here, but still, it's interesting that for once foreigners have had the benefit of replay sharing to help win, as opposed to it being a big Korean thing.

Have you ever thought that because he knew the timings, Supply known when to scout?
Anyway it is already over and gratz to Parting.
No matter whether Supply did or did not see the replays, Parting won that series and is the superior player.

Well in the end, it matters not what we think. He just made more in one tournament than any of us here will make in 2-5 years (depending on your jorbz).
I'm jelly.

Congratulations, I hope he Doesn't make this an excuse to start slaking, because for sure he worked his @#$ off to win this. Yeah!

SC2 just wouldn't be SC2 without the drama I guess

Eh, can't believe people are getting offended. At this point it should be pretty obvious Parting is never very serious in his interviews. To me it just sounds like Parting doing his usual cocky-shtick- 'yeah, this guy tried to figure me out by watching replays, so I stomped him even harder'. I don't think he really cared about them watching the replays that much. I think if anything the interviewer was the one at fault for even bringing it up.

From what Parting said it seems as if Suppy didnt just watch the games, he actually got the replays from Scarlett, which to him is a breach of etiquette. I wonder if this is something that is frowned upon by the players at large, meaning Suppy/Scarlett fucked up/cheated.
I think he's referring to the fact that, as a professional, you should rely solely on your own abilities to win and not to anticipate your opponent using sources outside of the game during a short tournament. Obviously you can easily just watch their games live but Parting seems ticked off that Suppy went out of his way to watch the actual replays.
