I can understand the thing regarding sharing replays though but it's understandable - he sounded just a bit bitter that he almost lost against Suppy + maybe Zerg bias because him + other players have complained about Zerg before.

Honestly, I'm sick of all this "cockiness =personality" bullshit. Being professional in interviews, making fair calls about yourself and your opponents, and just being nice in general...now that's the kind of personality that lets us enjoy the game. I can see it being funny or lighthearted when someone like MC does a ceremony or says something along the lines of "he drone drone, me all in, me win", but when you accuse your opponent of cheating and talk down a particular group of players (foreigners), that's not funny. It's PartinG being an asshole. Also, he hasn't earned the right to be cocky. Two all-kills and a WCS win don't make you the best player in the world,. (That would be the humble Mvp, who stomped PartinG 3-1 the last time they played in the GSL.)
He didn't accuse anyone of cheating. Watching replays isn't cheating.
PartinG doesn't seem to know that. The fact that he even mentions it in the interview implies that he either thinks it's outright cheating or breaking some unofficial pro-gamer code of ethics.
I would hate to be a pro-gamer and have my off-the-cuff interview responses analyzed by TL and reddit. Can't please everybody.
If Parting thought it was cheating, he would have said so.
That's the thing about being a public figure. Your words will be scrutinized. If you don't like it, don't be a pro gamer or anyone in the public eye.

I find that I like the personality, too many players aren't memorable because they don't give us anything to hang on to to differentiate the individual as unique.
If PartinG is a giant asshole in general he wouldn't have that many friends and so many people who like him as all the selcas and random photos prove. As in a GNN interview with a coach and manager said before, a player not only has to have skill but personality since a large part of e-sports is showmanship since it's hard to be personable sitting behind a computer on a stage. There are so many skilled players but the ones we remember most even if they aren't performing the best at the moment are the ones with the most personality like MKP, DRG, MC and the likes.
If I'm perfectly frank, though I don't follow Suppy nearly as much, seeing him come into a community debating thread to woe over how much he feels betrayed over a translated interview given when someone's on a winner's high gives me a less favorable first impression on Suppy's personality sadly, regardless about what the interview actually says.
I'm glad PartinG won, he's been doing well but just falling short and he's right, this first place win is really what StarTale needs to firmly climb their way out of their KongTale name and I'm glad he could do that for his team.

I just don't get why people are so surprised that PartinG's kind of cocky. He's always been this way and his confidence is part of what makes him such an amazing player. I hope he never changes because he produces some amazing games as a result.
EDIT: I also am surprised at the claims PartinG is being xenophobic. We're talking about the guy who used to joke with Naniwa and SaSe nonstop on twitter about stealing each others socks. He's a big goofball, not some huge asshole who's trying to rub Suppy's face in the dirt because he's a foreigner.

what cockyness? i cant find much confidence in this interview. he said that going into this he did not think he could win because his skill was not high enough and that he didnt expect to win anything in 2012. you guys are not reading the interview, youre just assuming its cocky because its parting.

Its just TL norm, cherry picking and eager to cut down its what happens when you have exponential growth as a site where everyone is free to post their opinions(within the TL commandments of course). That and there are a lot of sheeple in this world that enjoy jumping on a bandwagon or readily "defend" a player who they think has been attacked.
I used to think people where going too far when they called people cocky for saying things like "i felt confident entering this tournament", but when someone gets called arrogant and cocky when he literary said that he did not expect to win this tournament or any other event this year because his skill is too low, i dont know what to think...

People don't realize that Parting's interview was specifically crafted to cater to the Korean audience, what with it originally being in Korean and all, jump to conclusions in spite of there being insufficient context, and they are also very very salty
I've had to change some of the wording because people were somehow getting the impression that Parting looked down on Life and ZeNEX players for some reason
This interview contains come goodies. Regarding the Suppy/Parting debate, Parting says that "there are just a few North American players at that level right now." (Referring to Korean level). Suppy is obviously one of the people he is referring to.
Also to those disagreeing that Parting is cocky, he is, but in a funny way. Q: The name of the trophy is the gosu trophy, do you feel like the most gosu player right now? A: I have left like a Gosu since a first made it into GSL Code S. Now that I have won this big trophy, I feel like...a Super Gosu. (he is obviously being humorous)
