Maybe against Stephano, but probably not against the other foreigners, they don't need it. I remember reading about how Nestea, Leenock, and DRG were talking to each other at an MLG Arena about Naniwa's strrategies and habits.

so many butthurt fans of the losers of the tournament coming here to bash parting, when the player they rooted for didnt even get 10k while parting gets 100k!! :D

Feels like there's a lot of people here who don't normally reading Parting interviews. Seriously, that's just his personality, don't take him so seriously. It's distracting from all the gold comments that are in there.

Ugh, love Parting so much.
Such a boss.

I don't get the hate for Parting.
People complain about Koreans being robots but whenever they do anything else, people complaint that they're too arrogant or cocky.
I can understand the thing regarding sharing replays though but it's understandable - he sounded just a bit bitter that he almost lost against Suppy + maybe Zerg bias because him + other players have complained about Zerg before.
Overall, I don't think people should make a big deal about this.

Hahaha, really some people hate Parting for his interviews?
Guess we should just hope we only get Kespa interviews in the future so every single progamer reminds us to wear something warm when it gets cold.

I hope that everyone takes good care of themselves and dresses warmly so they don't get sick. Thank you, and I promise to show good games in the future. *bow*

From what Parting said it seems as if Suppy didnt just watch the games, he actually got the replays from Scarlett, which to him is a breach of etiquette. I wonder if this is something that is frowned upon by the players at large, meaning Suppy/Scarlett fucked up/cheated. I think he's referring to the fact that, as a professional, you should rely solely on your own abilities to win and not to anticipate your opponent using sources outside of the game during a short tournament. Obviously you can easily just watch their games live but Parting seems ticked off that Suppy went out of his way to watch the actual replays. Major tournaments (OSL, GSL etc) don't release replays, I can imagine watching a replay in that context being seen as something a bit over the line. Watching the games live doesn't let you note down specific timings and placements quite as much.

Honestly, I'm sick of all this "cockiness =personality" bullshit. Being professional in interviews, making fair calls about yourself and your opponents, and just being nice in general...now that's the kind of personality that lets us enjoy the game. I can see it being funny or lighthearted when someone like MC does a ceremony or says something along the lines of "he drone drone, me all in, me win", but when you accuse your opponent of cheating and talk down a particular group of players (foreigners), that's not funny. It's PartinG being an asshole. Also, he hasn't earned the right to be cocky. Two all-kills and a WCS win don't make you the best player in the world,. (That would be the humble Mvp, who stomped PartinG 3-1 the last time they played in the GSL.)

He didn't accuse anyone of cheating. Watching replays isn't cheating.

To be honest, I wasn't a big fan when EG signed you. I decided to root for you when you played Parting because even though I'm a Protoss player, I had to choose country over race and root for a Zerg in the first time I can ever recall in PvZ.
I'm officially a Suppy fan now, God I love the fire in this guy!

PartinG doesn't seem to know that. The fact that he even mentions it in the interview implies that he either thinks it's outright cheating or breaking some unofficial pro-gamer code of ethics.

I would hate to be a pro-gamer and have my off-the-cuff interview responses analyzed by TL and reddit. Can't please everybody.
If Parting thought it was cheating, he would have said so.

That's the thing about being a public figure. Your words will be scrutinized. If you don't like it, don't be a pro gamer or anyone in the public eye.

Haters always gonna hate. At least Parting backs up his mouth with his skills. $100k to the bank.

Dunno if Suppy actually watched the replays. I dunno how he would get a hold of them. He probably watched the VODs considering they were out like 5-10 mins after the match

To everyone who keeps saying what I did is blind, I encourage you to check out Chanman's Pro Corner where I went over immortal sentry all-in defense, and how to scout it. This was several months ago, but it's literally the exact same thing. You can scout whether it's an all in or not.

the tournament wasn't easy. if the haters won a 4 tier world tournament, i'm sure they'll gloat too.
parting has every right to gloat and congrats!
