Grubby vs Sen Game 3 Grubby spawned on the bottom left of Cloud; Sen spawned on the top right. Grubby went forge first, while Sen dropped his standard pool on 14. Sen proceeded to go gasless 3 hatch, while Grubby expanded and dropped a cannon. Grubby dropped a stargate to follow up his FFE, while Sen continued playing standard, taking two gas at his nautral on 45 supply. Sen sacrificed two overlords to try to scout Grubby's tech but could not find the stargate which Grubby was using to chrono out phoenix. Grubby put on some quite effective phoenix harass, although he lost a few to queens and spores. Grubby did only manage to get 4 drones however, and so his phoenix harass was probably not worth its cost. Grubby dropped a ton of gates going up to 6 total, as well as dropping a robo, and only then taking his third base. Sen continued to get double melee upgrades, starting his hive at 13:00 while building up his infestor count. He also took his fourth base and saturated his gas immediately, while dropping his spire for broodlord tech. Grubby continued to obtain good information with his remaining 3 phoenix, and dropped even more gates, going up to about 12 gates, as well as getting charge and dropping a templar archives. At 15:00, Sen began to spine up, getting +3 melee and +1 ranged attack, as well as adrenal, while his greater spire finished up. But grubby began his pre-hive maxed push! Sen started morphing 6 broodlords but they were too late to save Sen's fourth. Sen committed to a roach-ling counter attack at Grubby's third which he took down! Meanwhile Sen was able to hold his own third with broodlords, infestors and spines. Grubby tried to take his fourth but Sen denied it without even a cancel! Grubby pushed up to try to deny Sen's new fourth just south of his natural. However, Sen's army was just too strong with Grubby's army not calibrated to take on broodlord-infestor (what army is ;P?). Grubby managed to put on some light zealot harass but it looked bleak at 21:00, with Sen on 6 hatch, and Grubby on 3 Nexus. Grubby continued to execute some good jukes and jives, picking off infestors and trading efficiently. However, he simply did not have the economy to continue, and was forced to GG at 23:00! Sen wins, taking it 2-1 over Grubby! | ||
