You've made Code S three seasons in a row. How do you feel?
I really didn't think I would be able to advance so comfortably like this. As I played my games I got a feeling that things were going really well. All my games went well. After falling out of Code S last seasons without taking a single victory, I really wanted to get back in to Code S. I was really worried because I fell to the Up/Downs but I was able to advance like this so I am really excited for this season.
How did you feel after you feel to the Up/Downs?
Truth be told, a little uneasy. I had never made it through the Up/Downs before and also because I hate Bo1s .
Your up/down group got pushed back because of a reschedule. Did it help you prepare?
My arrival on Thursday is why the schedule was pushed back. I did have the chance to practice for a day but I told myself that my health came first. So I just slept like a baws.
You advance today with a 4-0 score. There is a saying that the player who does the best in Up/Downs ends up riding a certain momentum.
While playing in the WCS I saw that my games were going well so I started gaining the confidence I needed. The same happened for Up/Downs. I think that as long as I can get that same amount of confidence again, I think I'll be able to do much better for this season.
Who was the player that you were worried about the most for today?
I was worried the most about my game against aLive. Mainly because I hadn't practiced a lot on the map Whirlwind.
Your build order was completely crossed from aLive's during that match.
As soon as I saw his two hellions move out with my stalker that I placed in the middle of the map, I knew I had won build order wise. I even expected the drop to come. I knew I was fully capable of blocking it so I didn't retreat even though I saw his medivacs.
You have a nice experience where you made it all the to the Ro4 during your Code S debut. Surely we can expect you to at least make it to the Ro4 for this season as well?
I really do want to go all the way to the finals. I really didn't have any confidence last season and I also got really nervous. If I can keep playing like I'm doing right now for this season, then I can make some really good results.
What are you future overseas plans?
I plan on attending DreamHack Valencia on September 20th. Afterwards, I will attend WCS Asia and then MLG Arena. But for September, just DH.
Anything else you would like to say?
I want to thank our sponsors TLAF, TwitchTV, and RAZER. I also want to thank Jinro for coming with me yet again. I want to thank TaeJa and Zenio for helping me with practice. I want to thank my parents for always caring about me. Lastly, I want to thank my fans, Korean and foreign, for always cheering for me whether I win or lose.

How do you feel about making it to Code S two seasons in a row?
I honestly can't believe it myself. I am so grateful to Shine for letting me advance to Code S twice like this. I've had moments where I failed to make it because another person won but advancing like this is the first for me.
If you had anything to say to Shine?
Even though he knew there was no way he would advance even though he won he still played his heart out. I think I received such a huge blessing so I really want to thank him. If I get the chance, the next time I meet him I am going to treat him big time. He's a true pro gamer. Even before the game, the TSL coach came up to me and told me not worry. And just like that, it happened. I won through luck, Shine won through skill.
The game against HerO must have been the most disappointing.
I wanted to try out that build order for once in an actual match. If I use a build order during practice and see that it works well, then I use it during tournaments. But HerO was just in too good of a position. He's a player with tons of experience so when he saw my build, he altered his stalker timing.
Last season, you loved roaches a little too much and ended up falling out of Code S without any victories. What about this season?
I haven't really thought of anything yet. I plan on preparing as soon as I know who my opponents will be and what maps I'll be getting. But I do think that avoiding going roaches during ZvTs would be good. I really think it's going to be good to follow the trend. Roaches can only be used effectively if the player who's controlling them is good.
Are the StarTale players helping you out greatly?
I have so many practice partners now that I no longer need to go searching for one. It's really nice to have that many teammates. Not to mention that I am lacking in a lot of areas so I have a lot to learn from them.
Earlier, Life advance in to Code S.
I thought he would advance as #1 in his group but I was told that he advance as second. He's such a talented player.
Earlier, in his interview, Life stated that he was going to win this season's Code S.
I don't think he has any fears. He really has to play in Code S. He needs to be taught a lesson by a GSL champion in order for him to wake up. I really hope Seed picks Life. Not me (laughs).
Did you kind of underestimate last season's Code S?
It wasn't that I underestimated Code S, it was that after I won my first game I got too excited. I ended up destroying myself. You're supposed to gain confidence as you win, but for me, that was my downfall.
What are your goals for this season?
First off, I want to make it to the Ro16. I really want to experience that whole atmosphere the group nominations bring.
Anything else you would like to say?
This is something a lot of people know. I have a lot of less practice time than other players because of my current situation. (When LgN was still with ZeNEX, I heard from the ZeNEX manager that SuHoSin has a job at a company in addition to being a pro gamer, so I think this may be what he's talking about) A lot of people seem to think that it's bad that I always try to find the easy ways out. But I play to win while doing my best so I hope people will view me in a lighter way. To a guy like me, who has very little time to practice, the StarTale players, manager, and coach are so good to me. It makes me think that I can no longer lose. I had a red bull for the first time while wearing the ST uniform. During my game against Maru, I drank an entire can. That's why I was feeling so confident against HerO. Next time, I am going to prepare a ton of red bull to drink. Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors Red Bull, BenQ, ZOWIE, and Joy Gear.
