No, its nothing like football, don't strawman me. Football is two teams with the exact same rules, playing the exact same thing. Even if they run different plays or schemes, they both use a football, and they both play with human beings. SC2 is different because there are different matchups that require different thinking. A Protoss player doesn't need to understand TvZ or the terran and zerg mirror matchups because they don't play them. Day9 analyzes all 6 matchups and spends his time viewing all situations. Certainly he is not smarter than all pros, or even most of them, there are likely plenty of players who study and understand all three, he doesnt know more than a majority most likely. He still is probably better than a small number, but he knows enough to be an analytical caster for sure.

This is a real shame. No sound on Redbull Stream, and only commentary on the Day9 stream (with ingame sounds from the Redbull Stream lol). They really need to get this fixed.

Haha wtf is wrong with the sound

Not fast enough. Even was said to start at 20:30PM its now 21:27 and I haven't seen a whole lot yet. :/ Guess this will be one of those tournements with a shitload of issues that get solved in like the last few games >_>

Now they changed the stream audio on stream one to that of stream2!
|
Now Day9 stream has no sound, when they fix redbullgaming stream sound.
|
The main stream is bugging for me, wrong sound xD

Dear tournaments:
Stop hiring people who are only experienced in using a 2-channel dj mixer.
Thank you.
|
nice.. now i can follow both games in one stream
|
Rofl, I'm pissed off, but at the same time its hilarious. This huge troll tournement. xD
|
the NASL sound guy changed his profesion. Now he is stream technician @Redbull
|
Poor sound-guy (or gal) must be going ape-shit. Best to just laugh about it, they will clear it up.

He knows a lot about the units and their abilities and uses but he doesn't know how usable they are in the current meta game. Or to put it more simply he knows theory but not the realistic competitive game. Just my opinion from watching him.
I also think its evident that since the beta, Day9's overall expertise on the game has fallen off a bit. It seems he's stuck in the beta phase and hasn't caught up to the current meta game and the whole SC2 scene. Not bad but there are many better "analytical casters.

did they not have a general rehearsal for this event? This is not watchable.. gonna go buy me some excessive amount of carbs and caffeine, maybe they'll have it figured out by the time I come back. Wanted to watch Illusion though (but specifically tvp, and since that isn't happening.. meh)
