Also i believe IdrA had a baneling and about 4-6 more workers than Sheth. So he would lose all his drones to the lings? He just finished a production cycle of drones too... The game was over. No it wasn't i've won games in ZvZ masters with 6-7 drones left against a player on 1 base with 15+ Drones you just out-micro them and you can win. Also IdrA had more drones than Sheth. IdrA could block the ramp with queens IdrA could use many of his drones to hold off Sheths 15 Lings before IdrA hatches more lings and i believe he still had a baneling. IdrA definitely was not in an unwinnable position. I've won ZvZ's with huge drone disadvantages before and know exactly how IdrA could have possibly won the game.

(and i didn't notice any sheth stuff around that bane) Self destruct. Same as his career.

EG is so much better than liquid but can't showcase it in team leagues. You have a bit of a point with the lag, but nobody is going to take you seriously when you express yourself like such a fanboy. when liquid didnt want to deal with lag they didnt agree to enter leagues, so it was a non issue. if you enter the league you agree to put up with its conditions. sheth just outplayed everyone tonight, no excuses. That doesn't make any sense. Agreeing to put up with a disadvantage doesn't mean it isn't a disadvantage...it just means that you're willing to put up with it for a chance at overcoming that disadvantage. your just arguing my point for me. if EG are willing to put up with it, so should the fan boys. Again, putting up with it doesn't make the disadvantage go away. It's not excuse, it's a fact that cross-server lag is bad. Remember TSL3? When Goody beat Nestea and AdelScott beat MVP playing cross-server? You wouldn't call that an even playing field, corect? Goody and Adelscott weren't definitively better players, but they were good enough players to win with that advantage. My point isn't that it's *unfair* for EG to have to play in bad conditions given that they agreed to those conditions. My point IS that it is completely asinine to try to draw any kind of conclusions about which team is better based on these results. I'm addressing the torrent of people screaming, "wow, EG's so pathetic for getting AK'd by Sheth!" You don't know if micro was a factor, maybe Sheth was just superior in every one of those games. The only facts we have to draw conclusions from is that Sheth all-killed EG. Was it lag? Was it superior play? Who knows for sure, but saying, 'It was laggy, that's why EG lost' is stupid. I never said that is why they lost, I said it is a disadvantage and certainly a contributing factor. If you read my post, my whole point is that it is stupid to try to draw conclusions from that match, or any match played cross server unless you honestly believe that Goody and AdelScott were the best players in the world at one point. Instead of coming to a conclusion based on weak evidence, why not just avoid trying to jump to conclusions and be happy Liquid won? Honestly, I saw a quote where someone said that EG couldn't play in that lag and that the were a superior team, you quoted that person and I thought it said that you had said it. My mistake.

Seems silly not to consider the lag, though. When a Zerg killer like JYP can't hit Force Fields, or a micro intensive player like Puma has zero micro, or a Zerg like Idra faceplants ling-bling micro, it's obvious that all three players were affected by something. Polt crushes top EU with worse lag so they're just not good enough. If they're really gonna play with it they should practice it a bit at least. Or they don't care I don't know.

LOL hardest i laughed in a while seriously though i agree kind-of. I'm a fan of IdrA but he definitely left that game way too early. If that made you laugh you have a pretty awful sense of humor, and really, just because he didn't pull drones or drag out a game with a 99% chance he was gonna lose, doesn't mean he left way too early.

I don't know Sheth played really good every time I watched a game from him in the couple last weeks - on the other hand EG didn't even seem to really try to win a game in any of the both teamleagues. It's no one's fault but EG's for "not trying". But I doubt that was the case here, especially with the Koreans - they have too much respect for the fans and vanue to give up or not give it their all. Liquid lost last time, and won this time. Plain and simple, no excuses.

I remember last TAC a thread came up questioning the state of Liquid's team. I think there needs to be some serious questions about the state of EG's team right now. The only good news that EG has had this year was Puma qualifying for IPL 4, and that is clearly not enough when all of your other big guns are slumping so badly.
