So, to replace my cheap, dying mouse, I decided to get a nice gaming mouse. The game I play most is Starcraft, but I use this computer for general web browsing and what have you, and I may pick up other games as they come out (FPS, RPG, SC 2, who knows). So, I'm looking for something mostly for SC but also decent for general use.

I heard absolutely great things about the Razer Salmosa and I was all set to buy it. Then, unfortunately, I read about the Asian edition. Now I have another choice to make. I'm not Asian, but my hands are pretty small for being in the U.S. (about 18 cm or 7 inches from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger). Which one would better suit my purposes?

Why don't you go to the store and at least try out the normal edition (assuming you live outside Asia) and then make a decision?

That's impossible for anyone to answer, all you can do is try it out for yourself and see which one fits you.
We make signature, then defense it.

The asian one is slightly smaller, so i'd go with that if you have small hands

Unfortunately, I live pretty far into the country and can't find a store with one :-/ . I was hoping someone would have better experiences with one or the other.

I advice you the Salmosa Korean Progaming Edition.

I have that at home it's a pretty good mouse. She was created for SC and NaDa commented that.
I am using a Krait often because I used to play with that (I didn't have the chance to get a Logitech Optical Mouse)

Salmosa has bad lift off making it difficult to recommend for anyone.

Just because you have small hands, Smaller =/= better. A larger mouse would be fine if the control was better/smoother. I would say go for the larger one unless the weight among the two is the same, because weight is definately important when it comes to mouse accuracy.

The two mice have same sensor.

By the same token, heavier =/= better.

Ultimately, it is up to your preference ... but RTS players tend to favor smaller mice.

I would actually say lighter is better. I took the weight and a few other unnecessary things out of my LMO.

Okay, maybe lighter isn't better, but for me it is. I hate the feel of heavy mice, it's like having a very heavy woman on top of you in bed. I don't mind it, but > 120kg is really pushing it.

All right, I suppose I'll probably make my way into town and try the Western edition.

Actually, I just talked to a friend of mine, and he said that the Asian edition probably too small even for Americans with exceptionally small hands. So I probably won't even bother checking.

Thanks, everyone.
