Yellow will reportedly receive a base salary of KRW 70 million (approx. US $58,000 +), plus other benefits which will ratchet up his total compensation to aprrox. KRW 100 million (approx. US $83,000). Presumably, all this will be IN ADDITION TO any share of the prize winnings from tournaments. Altogether not quite Boxer's level (Boxer's total compensation package with TongYang, not including prize winnings, is said to approach US $166,000!), but a hefty sum nonetheless. More power to 'em all!
It's also reported that KTF is in touch with a couple of other "top level" players to bolster its pro gaming ranks. No speculation yet as to who tho. In related news, KTF (the parent company) has stated that they wish to start hosting "large- scale" gaming tournaments. I'm guessing (just guessing!) the KTF Nazit one-day tourneys they have held over the past few months were rehearsals to see if a larger-scale tournament would be feasible/viable. Hope we find out soon if KTF's serious about things. The world's starting to look pretty good for pro gaming and pro gamers now...
