I didn't intend on making this guide, but I figured I would because I know other people were having a hard time with this as well.
If you haven't already, set up your stream the way RaGe explains here:

Step 1: Download Virtual Audio Cables.
Step 2: Install it.
Step 3: Open up the audio repeater program TWICE that comes with it. You should have two little windows with it open now.
Step 4: Put the settings like this(just for the wave in and wave out, I don't think the rest matters):
Installing Virtual Audio Cables should have installed a virtual driver/device on your computer. It should be called Line 1(like in my example) or something similar like that. That is what you put as your output for both of the repeaters. For input, you want whatever device you are recording with(in my example, it's my webcams built in mic), and the stereo mix for your computer(if you don't see stereo mix as an option scroll down to the bottom of the guide for more info.)
Step 5: Open your FMLE and change the audio to Line 1(or whatever it is called for your computer). Everything else should stay the same.
It should look something like this:
Step 6: Make sure the default input and output for your computer are correct. The input should be what your recording your voice with, and the output should simply be your speakers(NOT the stereo mix, your actual speakers!).
I'm using the Windows 7 beta, so it'll be different for XP and Vista, but it should be something like this:
Step 8: In the bottom right corner of FMLE check off 'save to file' to save your recording in order to test to make sure it works so you don't make a fool of yourself on your stream! Click start for both of the audio repeaters and then start streaming like you normally would in RaGe's guide. Play sound from your computer(I.E. broodwar background noises, a song on itunes, etc) and speak into your mic at the same time to test it. That sample.avi or whatever should save after your recording, and you should be able to see what you were doing, hear what you saying, and hear what was coming out of your computer all together. That's what the people watching the stream get. If the test worked then uncheck the 'save to file' box and do it again! Great, now you have a stream with both audios and video! Happy streaming!
Can't see stereo mix as an option for the audio repeater?:
You probably have it set as disabled/hidden under Control Panel > Sound like I did. Right click on a device in your sound settings and there should be an option to show disabled/hidden/unused/disconnected devices.

After you check that it should appear as an option.
NOTE: This is what it looks like for me with Windows 7. Apparently XP is nothing like this, so you will have to find out how to enable stereo mix elsewhere I guess. I would help if I could, but I'm not running XP, so I have no clue what it looks like. There are several YouTube videos and google searches that claim to show you how, but I don't know how valid they are.
I'm not at all a smart person when it comes to this, this is just how I figured out how to do it. I will try to help if I can but don't expect me to solve all your specific problems.

Doesn't just unmuting Stereo Mix for input achieve pretty much the same effect?
Edit: I just realized that only newer sound cards allow selecting multiple sound devices for input so if yours doesn't you can use this guide as a workaround.

Yeah when you go to install the program it tells you it is from an unidentified publisher. Windows 7 asks you if you want to install it anyway, but I guess Vista can be a bitch. Before you try install try right clicking > properties and try to edit the publisher there so it doesn't ask you. If that doesn't work it might just be a crappy version or something your using?
I just used the first result in that new link and it worked perfect. Only took a full minutes to DL, plenty of seeds, and it's the full version.

I am so glad to find this, does anyone have the problem where as soon as you set the Audio on FMLE to Line 1 your FMLE crashes!! omg.. HELP
um... : yeah nvm all it needed was uninstall//reinstall cant believe i didnt think of that 2 days ago.

Hello again. I cant seem to figure out how to make my speakers play into Line 1. I bought my PC from DELL did not make it a gaming comp, its just standard with a simple sound card anyone can help me, be great.

this guide is missing an introduction - Why do you want to do this? What does it actually do? is it mixing stereo sound with voice recording like in producing music or streaming sound or what? :s

Yeah this wasn't really intended to be a guide in the first place, more of a "this is how it worked for me" thing but I'll probably edit with an intro. I don't know anything about anything other than setups with stereo mix so I'll include that in the OP too. I have to wait till the beta contest is over though cause I can't edit any guides until they are judged.

Hey Grobyc,
I'm using XP and I don't care for microphone stereo input -- I just want crisp computer sounds, but I can't seem to get it working. I tried many settings but either I get voice recorded sounds + computer sounds or nothing at all Any suggestions?
Actually, I don't get pure computer sounds. I just get recorded sounds!
