It's very similar to last time but I will lay the whole thing out - similarities and differences - for the ease of all who would potentially be involved.
What's the motherfucking deal, bitch?
- FOUR SONGS maximum. Ten minutes maximum of music. Send me the best and we'll want to listen to everything else you have.
- Send the music to ME. This time around I will be accepting e-mail submissions: chobopeon at gmail dot com. Above all else make sure to send it only to ME. That way I can put together a neato little event of a thread when everything is in and have a good, fair vote. So don't post it in the thread - to ME!
- No, you don't have to be in an actual band. You don't have to play any specific genre or in any specific format. We want music, whatever that is. As long as the music is yours, send it to me!
- That said, covers are fine. The rule regarding covers is simple enough: make it clear that it is a cover and provide a link to the original artist's website.
- DEADLINE IS JULY 10th. That's enough time, right? One of the original contest's downfalls was that there simply wasn't enough time. This is three times as much time and hopefully that gives you enough time and space to gather whatever is needed and start making music.
What then? What happens after I give you my music, cocksmuggler?
Here's something slightly different and (I think) significantly more awesome: Music will be available to stream right here in the thread. I haven't decided what service I'll use for this but it's easy as fuck and I should have done it this way the first time around.
Everyone's song will be in a thread posted soon after the deadline passes. It will be easy to navigate and view the songs and artists. Votes will be tallied (in a secretive manner) and we'll have a good time trollin' and praising. Discussion will abound.
Voting will close about a week after the songs are posted and the winners will be announced shortly following that deadline. This will be a better post than last time: I will make a more serious attempt to get more music and a better interview with the winner(s).
May I have a motherfucking history lesson, please?
As I said, last time was awesome.
The top 5, in order, was:
1-Navane (had 33% of all votes)
2-Rob Carson
3-Star Track
4-Georg O. Kappland Band
5-No Need For Thor's Hammer
Some Navane tunes:
+ Show Spoiler +
FYI these are not the tunes that won him the contest (my HD is currently down so I dont have them atm) but these are some that he posted. If you have the songs from the contest feel free to post them in the thread for those who are curious about what theyll be up against.

One of the bands that inspired me the most is Anathema. www.anathema.ws If you like my tunes, you probably like them too. But beware; their spectrum is wide. Today they make some crappy lo-fi tunes, but they have made heavy stuff too.
I put some more tunes online:

In conclusion, submit! If I forgot to write anything or if something was unclear please let me know. I'll fix and answer any questions.
Here's to another good battle and the return of Berkelsauce!
