Alright, a few people from irc and I were talking, and we started, for some reason, debating whether or not a human could win in a fight 'to the death' against a dog.
For the sake of accuracy, I will present a specific situation for the poll.
You and a German Sheppard are put into a regular sized room and you must fight until one of you dies. The dog will immediately attack you (once released) and it will be set on killing you. You have no weapons, and are wearing no protective clothing, just regular street clothes. You can't use anything that isn't part of you as a weapon. Given this situation, who do you think would win the fight?

We are talking about something completely average. Average size, not martial training etc. If not we would need to pick a fighting dog.

as long as the person keep their cool and dont panic, i dont see how a human would lose.

...how do you kill a dog with your bare hands? Those things can be pretty fucking strong
They can bite you to death we cant do that

the dog would probably bite your leg or arm and wouldn't let go of it. if you can deal with the pain and manage to significantly hurt the dog you might have a chance.
but all in all I think the dog would make it.

dogs naturally have instincts to go for the neck and shit. the average human would be like "why isn't this dog on a leash?" and then just get killed.

dog can only really attack by biting
so if you can get in a position where it has difficulty biting you (maintaining distance by kicking, or with an arm wrapped around its neck) you win

Unless your stupid the person would. Multiple stomps to the dogs face would kill it.

if you kick it good in the head and not let off you'd probably have no problem. Otherwise it all depends where the bastard latches on. if it got me on the arm I'd just smash it into a wall a until its concussed to fuck, on the leg that would be harder but still possible. As long as you don't give up and it doesn't get your eyes/throat I don't see how you could not kill it before you die of rended organs/bleeding.
