I used to fight with my dog when he was a puppy (a 60 lb puppy of muscle, mix border collie and german shepherd) and he'd knock me over by jumping on me, rear feet claws in my groin, front feet claws at my rib cage, teeth aiming at my face between my nose and eyes. Of course we're just playing and no matter how many times he bit me he didn't bite hard enough to draw blood. My dog almost never goes for the forearms or legs unless he's lonely and wants attention. He'd go for your face first, if not, then go for the neck, if not, then go for the soft spot at the upperarms or underarms. Anywho, my doggy is now old and fat, though I guess I could ask him if he wanted to fight to the death. I'll try talking it over with him. If he doesn't mind, I'll brb and tell you who wins if I live or not. | ||

Dogs don't naturally kill humans, we're WAY out of their food-size charts. No untrained dog will go for your neck. All it can do is incapacitate one of your arms/legs. I'm sure there are certain dogs that can kill humans, but your average german shepherd will get fucking raped by any healthy adult. You've obviously never had to fight off a dog if you think they're capable of killing a human easily. P.S. Even if he jumps at your face, the standard human reflex is to put your forearm in front. So it's still the arm that's bitten, not your face. | ||

I dont think the average human can pin a medium-sized dog like a German sherpard to the wall with one hand. Nevertheless i think this kind of thread is a bit stupid because this kind of situation never happen. When a dog attack a person,you can always escape or ask for help, and if you beat the dog he will run away too. Moreover dogs arent agressive towards human ( usually ) and they are not designed to kill people. A wolf vs human thread would be way more interesting. | ||

If it is a large starving wolf i agree because wolfs are designed to kill large animals. edit: and for the poll, i think that i can kill a medium sized dog in a desperate " do or die " situation ( however i think it would be painful ). | ||

Im thinking an average size dog whos fighting for his life would leave you all in the ground in pain in no time. And once the adrenaline kicks in they are not going to let loose, and you wont be able to hit him hard while hes causing you pain (specially if it grabs you by your good arm). And don't get started with trained people because a Dogo, a Rott, a Mastiff or a Presa Canaria would tore those too. | ||
