After much teasing and hinting, Evil Geniuses'
Stephano was announced as the final player for HomeStory Cup 8. Stephano returns after retiring in August after his elimination in WCS Europe Season 2, stating he would move on to continue his studies in university.
In his StarCraft 2 career of over two years, Stephano won championships at IPL, ESCW, NASL, and WCS, finishing his career with over $230,000 in prize earnings. Due to his stellar tournament record and ability to compete evenly with top Korean players, many consider Stephano to be the best non-Korean player of all-time.
Stephano has yet to publically comment on whether or not this is a permanent return to pro-gaming, or merely a one-time comeback.
