First and foremost I want to get to Gambit's Cup...

Gambit's Cup Round 2 will be starting in the new year with a $1000 Winner takes all prize pool. The tournament will be hosted by LRM)nOoNe. Given nOoNe's position on team LRM), there will be an appeal process in which I can overthrow a ruling, however... It's not likely to happen because I have full confidence in nOoNe's ability to be unbiased.

Disclaimer

I know the changes to euro aren't fair, or balanced or anything of the sort, it is not intended to be.

Second, Euro Open Championships is now Euro Closed Championships. The process will be invite only. The primary reason for this is anger management issues on my part, I just really don't feel like dealing with most of the community, yet I don't want to disappoint the people I do like, thus a select few will be chosen to participate. Chosen players may be asked to play a qualifier depending on the amount of players chosen from their country... If this is already done by feat of Euro's first qualifier this weekend, then those players will be selected of the chosen ones, no additional qualifier required.

If your name doesn't appear, then it is likely that I don't really like you or your skill level simply won't compare to that of the people in the tournament i.e. Shimy (Or I forgot you... Either way).

Listed players must confirm attendance before the new year.

Prize: $2000/$500 + $75 participation prizes.
Location will be moved to Europe.

Players will receive their travel info, confirmation numbers and flight/train/bus tickets within 2-3 weeks of confirmation of attendance and qualification. Players residing outside of Europe's open border countries must have passport or travel visa.

There is also a website in the works where you will be able to easier track this tournament. I will not be posting updates on TL once that is up... It should be fairly soon.

I propose to invite dRaW from North America, so he can hang out with his Russian homies and maybe smoke a little bit.

Looks like things got more centralized and more manageable. Also that Gambit Cup prize is amazing.

Why are both LRM)Game and SiR.Ace in the Double Elimination Bracket?

EDIT: This list of back-ups in order of importance are hilarious. Sziky is so far down, and why the hell is Advokate even o0n the list?

EDIT2: Hockey card sales go bad to kill the prize pool that much?

I gotta say this is a much better format tbh. Everyone knows the skillful players in the scene, so why bothering with an open qualifier, if you just can invite the best people. Also the shrinking of the prizepool aint that bad as well imho, since you can make more events in more places (also travel, venue, hosting expenses are quite high even for only 8 people). But I do not like that Lower bracket is only Bo1. Please make it at least Bo3. Even if you go for just one day, you will have plenty of time. I really hope everything runs smooth and that you make more of this tours.

This thread is a upward trend Eywa-. Stay like this and maybe the problems in the community with you will eventually fade out after 2 or 3 events. For myself, I will be already really really thankful if even this first event will be successful.

Any information about livecast? Or will you announce that seperatly with the venue details? Will there be live admins or will you be attending?

Regards.

Probably one NA player and one EU player. Even if I gotta say that you should have taken Michael for NA and Sziky for EU. For me undoubtful the best players of their region. Anyways, we will see how it goes.

The reason Game and Ace are chosen to be seeded in is mostly because, I'll likely be asking them to do a couple things at the event itself... And I know these are two people I can trust.

Never took place, I decided not to do it because I didn't feel it was worth my time.

Looking much clearer now. This event will be much more feasable, should be an amazing event!

Although I dont really understand why there is no Sziky in the brackets, takes away the winners credibility if you didn't beat the best.

And great to see the new season of Gambit's cup! Will there be new teams joining in, or the previous ones battling it out?
