StarTale is one of the most famous Korean eSport organizations which features a StarCraft 2 team and also featured a League of Legends team. Today they announced that they disbanded the team. It seems like the team asked for a salary and the organization didn't agree on that and said that they need more sponsors for that. Also Choi "Locodoco" Yoon-Sub's parents didn't want him to play League of Legends professional.

The first professional LOL team in Korea, StarTale, decided to disband their LOL team.
The team announced that they were unable to come to an agreement in the salary negotiation process. After failing to advance to the round of 8 in the Summer League, the LOL players asked for the appropriate salary payment up-to-date.
In response, StarTale team management told the players to consider transferring to another team or to wait indefinitely until the team finds additional sponsors to make up for the financial shortfalls. As of today, StarTale LOL players have all left the practice house and are looking for new teams.
StarTale's head coach Mr. Won said "thinking back to our humble beginnings, it would be nice to pay all our players right now but the reality doesn't allow us to do that." He added with much regret that he wishes the players well as they look for teams with better finances. He is personally helping each and every player in their team search efforts.
StarTale also announced that they do not plan on making a new LOL team, and that they will focus on managing their SC2 team.

- ST seems to be in pretty bad financial situation, some of their SC2 players haven't been paid fully either - Loco also has conflicts with his parents over his career (they don't want him to be a progamer)
*edit: ALSO BENSON why you no hang in our channel more often?
The irony is that people were confident in the ESF/Kespa fight that Startale was one of the stronger teams financially just because of Red Bull's name being attached to them.

Did the LoL team have the same sponsors as the SC2 team? Pretty sure the LoL team didn't have the Red Bull sponsorship.

It is very possible the redbull sponsorship was not teamwide but rather only for specific players.

I am sure that Parting/Bomber (and maybe Squirtle) get extra perks from Red Bull, but the whole team wears the Red Bull jerseys. So they must be getting something from Red Bull if the entire team has a gigantic Red Bull logo on their jerseys. The sponsorship must be pretty huge if the SC2 team has gone from the black/orange jerseys with sponsor patches on the side to the Red Bulls.

Pretty sure Squirtle was on the list. There was an thread a while back with the picture of the 3 of them.

I cant believe it. I mean Redbull is a huge sponsor who is sponsoring sport teams all over the world.

The Red Bull sponsorship is exclusive to the SC2 team and some players (PartinG, Bomber) receive additional perks on top.
