In-Game Description:
Another Remake of SC1 classic The Hunters. Team play map designed for 6m1hyg. High-ground main bases and LOS-blockers to prevent cheesy warp-ins. Mineral patches and gas geysers have extra reserves for those longer games.
Introduction/Inspiration:
OK, I know. Another BGH remake, yawn... Actually this map comes sort of by request from the community. I have been playing a lot on the various 6m maps that have been popping up, and several people have mentioned that they would like to see a team map for 6m. Because of the similarities between the feel of 6m and sc1, many said they would like a remake of bgh. I'm not out to bring back sc1, but I thought this map could be a good case study towards my next project, which is to make a "real" team map for 6m. The bottom line is that I want to do 2 things with this map;
1. fulfill a perceived demand from the community
2. begin to study how team games will play out in 6m.

Gameplay Data and further balance discussion:
There are a few subtle differences to this map you may not expect which I felt were necessary.
1. The main bases are on high ground. Any protoss can tell you why.
2. The main bases also have LOS blockers around the edges. same reason as above.
3. Mineral counts for blue minerals - 5,000 gas count - 12,500. This is reminiscent of the original BGH, as well as to ensure the minerals don't run out too fast during a long 4v4 game. gold minerals hold 2,000
4. The gas geysers at the natural are a couple squares farther than normal. This feature was present in the original The Hunters, and is something that has been discussed as a possibility in 6m maps.
