Dream.t)check has joined Team 8 from STX Soul. Check was a former MBCGame HERO player, having been scouted online in 2010 and then drafted in April 2011 after topping the Kespa rookie evaluation competition.
When MBCGame disbanded their team at the end of the 2010-2011 season, Check joined STX Soul in November 2011. However, on 27th January, STX put several of their rookies on a waiver, including Check. But under the strong recommendation of his former MBC teammates now in Team 8, Coach Ju has recruited Check. He has already been training with the team and has been placed on February's Proleague roster.
This news is from Fomos so I can't translate the article. If DES reports on this later, I will add more details in.
Great news, I hope he will be replacing Killer soon. It's just too bad that the coach always fields the same 5 players and doesn't give the rookies a chance At least he will make a decent practice partner.
Yay, great news! Always good to see players getting picked up. I was hoping he'd do well at STX, but they've started playing so many new rookies, I guess there would have been a lot of competition anyway. Good luck to him now, and hope we see him in the lineup soon

I'm not quite sure what is going on at STX. They basically got rid of everyone they recruited in 2011. Maybe that was part of their strategy, to overhaul the B-team.
I was wondering the other day what happened to this guy.
He's probably the most overhyped rookie around imo. Can't believe the MBC coach said that he would make up for Light's departure back when Woongjin acquired him.

For the one millionth time, the MBC coach did NOT say he would make up for Light's departure. Mumyung never even mentioned Check's name when Light departed. The press release by the MBC management (not Mumyung) was just something along the lines of giving rookies the chance to develop. That's all.
Good to hear. A team is nothing without good practice partners. I don't think we'll see him in any games but a little pressure on killer can only be a good thing.
