After watching IPL and witnessing Inori just smash Protoss after Protoss, I decided to rewatch them a bit closer to figure out some of his builds as PvP is very confusing for me atm. I stumbled upon this build and finally decided to put Tal' Darim Altar back in my map pool. I absolutely hated 4gate on that map and how that's the only thing you could do in PvP on Tal' Darim. But now, that has changed. This build is a defensive build that gives you more probes as well as beating that 4 gate timing push on that map. Now Inori has used this build on other maps but I do want to specify Tal' Darim because that's the map where you HAD to go 4 gate. Feel free to use this on the other maps.
Build Order:+ Show Spoiler + 9 Pylon (Chrono Probes) 12 Gateway/13 Gateway (Chrono Probes and Scout) - I go for the 13 gateway just because it's more economically but 12 gateway is safer just because the typical 4 gate goes for 12 gateway and you want to be close to his warp gate tech. 15 Assimilator (Chrono Probes) - You can get 14 assimilator if you can stack your workers perfectly while constant production of probes but on Tal' Darim you need to get a 15 assimilator. When Protoss sees your chrono 25 less than his, he will most likely do a hyper aggressive 4 gate 16 Pylon 18 Cybernetics Core 19 Zealot Stalker (Chrono Warp Gate Research and you will constantly chrono warp gate) - From here you want to stop Probes at 20 Probes. Gateway Gateway Pylon - Begin probe production once pylon is done Stalker Stalker Zealot/Stalker - I go for a Zealot because this third gateway will slack a little bit with the others and zealots have a faster build time Pylon Assimilator
Once warp gate is done, you warp in 3 more stalkers so you should have at the end of this, 7 Stalkers and 2 Zealots. This style allows you to tech from there on faster than your opponent.
Transitions:+ Show Spoiler + I personally do like Inori's transition he used so here it is. You basically expand once you know you have pushed his army back to their base and your army will be based around chargelot/archon/blink stalkers. Now this style of army gives you more mobility than a robo army would be (colossi). You still get a robo though just because you do need to make observers and you do want to get a warp prism to extend your mobile advantage. You move out usually when you get +1 and have a bunch of gateways and your warp prism is in position. You do want to use 4 warp-ins on zealots and put them in your warp prism and send that warp prism into the Protoss' main base while your army is outside his natural. Once it goes in their main you can warp more zealots to force Protoss to split. And that's where their main army gets tremendously weaker as Colossi army is all about support and if you remove some of it, your main army should overwhelm him.

Edit: I'll try to add more content to this build as soon as I can. But enjoy

Before it's done, I just think it's very possible to go 12 gate / 14 gate without perfect probe micro ^^

Contrary to your introduction, this isn't the first 3 gate that holds 4 gate on Tal'Darim. Hwangsin has been using a different one (with 2 gas) for months. Inori's build is safer, but Hwangsin's build is pretty much a default win against any blink builds.
|
Afterwards its it's 2*24 gate, 26 pylon, 27 3*stalker, then gas.

I'll have to try it out, I have a pretty easy time holding off 4 Gate's, but I wanna see this in play

what's hwangsin's build?

If I had to guess HwangSin's build is the 2 sentries where you forcefield his army in half as I've seen some Koreans do it. I do not really recommend this build because if you miss your forcefield or timings on buildings/chronoboost, you will be punished.
And yes that's the same but used search function for Inori or 3 gate pvp and couldn't find it

-12 gate -14 gas -16 pylon -16 core -18 gas --> mine with 2 probes per geyser (4 total) -core finishes --> chrono WG + start stalker -hold probes at 20 and make 2 gates as soon as you have 150 for each, as the first stalker builds second stalker to put you at 24/26 -pylon, then 2 more probes -3 stalkers, chronoing the last one because it will be approx. 10 sec slower than the others -stalkers will finish at the same time as WG research, make warpgates and you'll have exactly enough money for 3 more stalkers
You wind up with 8 stalkers vs. 6 stalkers + 1 zealot. Obviously this will not work if you let him get his first proxy pylon too close to your main, because your warpins will be a few seconds slower. For this reason, Inori's build is safer because it gets an extra unit. The other side of the coin is that with Hwangsin's build, you can proxy the 4th pylon vs. non-4gaters and have 8 stalkers at his base before 6:30, which is something a blink build can't handle in 1.4.
