Clancy's boasts having 36 tv's, of which we will be controlling 5 of them on a Sunday of NFL games... a full bar and menu... and we have been given permission to take over Right Field of this location where we will stream to five of the nine tv's. Starting around 12pm on Sunday, 16 October, I will be setting up in Right Field. We will have full audio in the room that we are streaming to... we only have to complete against the cheering and yelling from the NFL fans.

And if you are interested in attending, please let me know. At present I can fill out the room around 40-60 people. I might be able to get more depending on the GM that day. Also, if there are any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I will do my best to answer them.
So if you are local or coming in a bit early for BlizzCon, come on down and let us see if we can get enough of a crowd to BarCraft the entire weekend of MLG Providence... or even take over the entire venue!!!

If you're under 21 you're still allowed to go into a bar, you just cant drink.

Clancy's is a sports bar/restaurant in the Anaheim resort area so there are families coming in all the time so the age range is all across the spectrum.

Cool! This is closer to me than Noble Ale and seems to be a great venue. Will definitely do my best to make it.

this is going to be a test run for MLG Orlando. The owner is trying to see if her AV folks can get 1 laptop to control several tv's at once and this is going to be our test run for potential turn outs and logistics.

Starting around 10am on Sunday, 9 October, I will be setting up in Right Field. We will have full audio on that TV that we are streaming to and will try to lower the NFL house game audio over the speakers in that room.

For the test run, will you be watching the IPL finals? I know some people in LA interested in a barcraft this weekend.

Primadog, we will be watching the IPL finals for our test run. And by test run, we are looking at the logistics for seating and possibly getting set up on additional tv's still using the one laptop. I will be doing the mad dash from my place to Clancy's that morning with laptop and HDMI cable in-hand.
I know for the test run they are also looking at how the mix between the NFL crowd and the BarCraft crowd will mix on a Sunday... ^_^

I've been given the room for Saturday as well but the owner is kicking us at 6pm as they typically seat families with children there in the evening. If folks are interested in Saturday let me know so I can actually show up at opening for set-up of my laptop.
And I'm doing a mini-test run on Thursday with their AV guy so we shouldn't have any issues over the weekend.

Any feel for how many people are going to show? My brother + myself are interested, but it'd be kind of a wasted drive if it's only 5 ppl showing

it is unknown at this time... there is a lot of interest but I really don't know what the expected turnout will be. Honestly, I personally know about a dozen folks will be there... beyond that, it's up to everyone else. I can tell you that I have sample pouches of product from GamerFood.com to pass out, and I refuse to take any of it home (I have something like 50 pouches of product).

many thanks to those who attended today. We will be looking forward to seeing all of you again in November and December. After today's turnout, I have spoken to the owner and we have been given the same section for the following dates for 2011:
19 & 20 November - MLG Providence
3 & 4 December - NASL Finals
Hoping for continued great turnouts during these events to prove that this BarCraft thing isn't just some random fluke. There will be info posted up on AnaheimBarcraft.com as well as the Anaheim Barcraft FB group page...
