I'm proposing two questions in this thread, and hopefully, TL members have extensive knowledge and we can have a thoughtful discussion.
*EDIT* Since a lot of people are asking, I'm going to add this: Anyone you believe to be a superhero, you can count. If you think there may be disagreement on his hero status, make your case on it then.
1) Who's your favorite superhero?
2) Who do you believe to be the most powerful hero?
Now I understand that question 2 is a bit broad, since different heroes thrive in different situations. When you're stating what hero you believe to be the most powerful, please state the "criteria" of the battle.
For example:
1) In a straight up fight, I would put Superman as the most powerful. With superspeed AND strength, he could easily push around other heroes, either overpowering them or just getting around their power.
2) However, what if there's adequate time of preparation? Who has the most potential?

If superman counts then he wins in just about every catagory.
A better question is who is the best superhero that isnt superman.

I think Batman has been proven to be capable of beating Superman. Superman is the best in raw strength and super powers, but Batman has the intelligence to beat it.

1) Captain America (Bucky Barnes).
Just liked his character, his personality, yea he's not super powerful, but he's a man trying to atone for his misdeeds as the winter soldier and carrying on a legacy.
2) Scarlett Witch
Her power is to affect reality and change it, she could with a few words destroy the universe and anything in it.
She depowered a huge % of the mutant populace with the words 'No more Mutants', she killed Hawkeye and wiped him from existence, then brought him back. She also recreated and reshaped reality to a world in which she thought was ideal, but it failed and she set it back while destroying the mutant populace in 3 words.

Depends which superman your talking bout. Superman Prime has no weaknesses, punches can shatter space and time, and is immune to kryptonite.

I think if we're just talking pure power, Hulk would probably win.

1) Either Spider-man or Batman. I like them both so much it's tough to choose.
2) I think Superman is the most powerful, with all his different abilities. Of course, he has a weakness, while many other superheroes don't. So given an adequate amount of preparation any other superhero could potentially beat him

1. My favorite is Superman, because he's the most unique. He was born Superman and his cape is his actual everyday outfit. His alterego/costume is Clark Kent, with the suit and glasses. He's an actual superhero by nature, whereas Batman is just a guy dressing up as a bat...
2. Superman, no other superhero would even touch Superman. Oh Batman is holding a piece of Kryptonite? Ok, Superman just flies high in the sky and would use his thermal lances to melt Batman. GG. Seriously, Superman is the god superheroes. He can easily avoid anything with his super speed, and would see anything coming his way with his xray vision.

I like superheroes with flaws, so not the almighty always doing the right thing superheroes (like superman) but more the 'I do what is right for me, but the world may think different' superheroes (like Yagami Light (I see him as a superhero)).
So favourite superhero: Iron Man
Strongest superhero: superman (fucking lasereyes + superspeed)

I'm pretty sure it's Flash. He is so fast there is no way you can stop him. In the comics/shows they always show people "predicting" where he is going to go and hitting him but at the speed he is moving everyone else would be in slo-mo and he would easily react to their predictions. You can't beat someone traveling near light-speed. It isn't even a competition really.
